Services
Small's Mortuary, Inc. was founded in 2002 in Mobile, Alabama and quickly became the premier funeral and cremation service provider in the Port City and surrounding areas. My childhood ambition was to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer and establish a funeral home serving families with exceptional quality, dignity and sense of pride in my hometown.
Our caring team at Small's Mortuary consist of diverse group of professional men and women grounded in the mission of providing families with excellent care and compassion during their time of loss. Several are licensed or specially trained professionals and take part in hours of continuing education building on the compassion and care of serving families during this time.

Desi Corley and the staff of Small’s Mortuary & Cremation Services are truly incredible. From the beginning of our contact with Desi, he really went above and beyond for our family after the passing of our son, father, and brother. If anyone has ever had the Chik-fil-a experience then you will understand when I say that Small's is the Chik-fil-a of funeral experiences and it was their pleasure make it so. They were professional, courteous and very engaging. The staff is top notch in executing their responsibilities and my family and I were extremely grateful for them in our time of loss.

Please do not use this company i order flowers for a friend this company has a company they use called tribune that suppose to deliver flowers
on the day the flower were suppose to be delivered they told me the couldnt get them there , its been a lot of promising to pay me my money back , i called a guy name dez at their office they avoided my calls for 2 months
my bank could not return it THE SMALLS COMPANY IS BS
THEY STILL TOLD ME IT WAS NOT THEIR COMPANY THAT DIDNT DELIVER THE FLOWER IM DEVASTATED PLEASE RUN GHETTO UNPROFESSION

I highly recommend Small's Mortuary and Cremation Services. They handled my sister's funeral this weekend and they did an excellent job. We were very pleased and they made this process so easy. Plus with the pandemic they live streamed the services so our family and friends that couldn't make it were able to view the services live. Special thanks to Des Corley who assisted us.

I wouldn't allow this funeral home to take care of my dog much less a family member. My sister inlaws presentation was absolutely horrible. The family came in for a viewing and she appeared to be on a metal gurney. They made no attempt to dress it up at all. She had a plastic bag over her body that was visible and a velvet blanket with the funeral home embroidered on it over top of the plastic bag. The velvet blanket was covered in lint and had bleach stains on it. Of course it doesn't stop there. This place has an extremely difficult time answering questions and they always say they'll call you

They were exceptional. Before my mother passed away I got a chance to meet with them regarding what was available. Mr. Brown was very thorough and thoughtful and provided me with many options. After my mother passed away, they once again were very helpful and professional throughout the whole process.

My Mother passed at home Dec 30,2017. 10 minutes after my relatives called me in San Diego to let me know of her passing , I got a call say " what do you want us to do with the body"? This was was insensitive at that time. I flew to Daphne the next morning and was informed that it would be days before making plans for my mother. Days later , finally meeting at the mortuary, it's wasn't about plans or care , it was all about money and pretty much disrespectful dealing with our family. They were so insensitive and disrespectful to my sister regarding her husband, refusing to acknowledge her marriage. They actually gave her a letter to hold them; the funeral home harmless, "to cover their behinds from a potential lawsuit." While she was grieving her husband they gave her this letter at the church and then because didn't sign it, they took upon themselves to follow her to her home, without her knowledge, to try to pruseude her to sign it. From the Very get, Smalls Furneral Home was very rude to my sister and caused her great distressed during an already sad time
