Charming little cabin. It's equiped with modern facilities like flush toilets and mini kitchen, while still preserving a primitive feeling. There is a hot tub in the main lodge with a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains. I would recommend this place to anyone passing by.
While the experience was overall positive, the unreliable WiFi equipment was a downside. I accidentally unplugged the repeater, and apparently it requires the owners to come in person to make it work again, but they were out of town during our stay. With phone signal being too weak to use in the area, it was hard

Booked 2 nights in a cabin about 3 times the size of the double bed it contained for significantly more than we could have stayed in a major hotel on the Valdez waterfront. We had to park up hill and walk down a gravel road about 100 feet to the cabin. The 4 high steps up to the cabin had no hand railing and there was no railing around the deck. We are in our 70s and we needed to use hiking sticks to negotiate the steps. While the room was equipped with a sink, a microwave and a fridge, it was tiny. The only dilapidated chairs were out on the front porch. The bathroom consisted of a toilet and

The view was beautiful, the moose cabin was cute but tiny, the biggest downfall was the bathroom situation. The water is on a holding tank and is very loud when in use. The water pressure was upsetting and the facilities we're very tight and crammed. I was very much looking forward to a shower after a long day of fishing but was definitely disappointed. The check in process is supposed to be emailed mine was not, the communication with the owner/manager is spotty do to signal.

This place is the perfectly rustic but luxurious at the same time. Great for a few nights gets away. Close to downtown Valdez but far enough away as well. Has running and hot water, flush toilets, a comfy bed and private. Also quite clean. Pricing was competitive with surrounding options. Bonus: they allow pets in a couple of their cabins with a deposit! Views are wonderful and the booking folks were kind and helpful. Would totally stay here again and highly recommend it.

Beware- if you are renting a bnb room here, you will be sharing a bathroom with up to 7 strangers. there was no spray sanitizer in the bathroom to clean surfaces after each use and cleaning staff only attend to it Once a day. Appalling that they are not following standards of Covid prevention from CDC or local health departments.
Rooms are like an overpriced hostel- no furniture or table to store your things, no cubbies. No closets, just a bare room with bed and a curtain rod that falls down when you close the curtains. We were in a room with shared wall to the bathroom and got to enjoy the sound

Stayed in the Bear Cabin, so this review focuses only on it. The cabin was poorly constructed, poorly heated, had a terrible bathroom, the loft was almost unusable due to its low height, the water stopped running and had to be fixed, the heater wasn't working when we first entered it and it had to be fixed, a window in the loft mechanical area was left open, allowing mosquitoes in, until we discovered it and it was closed by the staff. The front door does lock from the outside, so your stuff is not secure when you are gone. Room was not cleaned, or linens changed, unless requested. The cabin was

My family has stayed here for 2 days now and are sad to be leaving!!!! The accommodations are wonderful and the scenery is BREATHTAKING. We stayed in the main lodge. I wish we could have used the kitchen to cook but without renting the entire lodge that isn't an option. So research the restaurants close by in Valdez. The owners are not on premises but were easily accessible by phone.

I can't say enough about how beautiful staying at the main lodge was. I was only there for one night. I didn't get in until around 7:30 PM. I had to leave the very next morning. I took advantage of the sauna as well as the hot tub. The hot tub is placed perfectly so that you can see all of the mountains around as well as the beautiful view of Robe Lake. The lodge was beautiful inside. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak, but that is to be expected at places like this. I can say with 100% certainty that the next time I visit Valdez, Alaska, this will be the very first place that

The lodge is located overlooking Robe Lake in a beautiful scenic setting. I would have given 5 stars, but my husband and spent a sleepless night in room #1 on the ground floor, due to a loud buzzing sound which repeated about every 15 minutes. I complained to the owner, and she thought we must be light sleepers. We are not. The sound was very loud, and I hope that they have corrected it. The room was very very small with a double bed and no where to put your clothes, except for some hooks on the wall. I do not advise staying there if you are given this room. The owner moved us to a small (very

This is a beautifully built lodge overlooking Robe Lake and the surrounding mountains of Valdez. The owners are very nice and easy to work with and the lodge is set up like your own home. There's a hot tub overlooking the lake and it is extremely quiet unlike downtown Valdez in the middle of summer time.

Rented by the room, 6 rooms for this cabin, 2 above the vaulted living room, 4 below. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains beyond. Shared bathroom, nothing new in these parts. This place is done to Lower 48 very decent standards. Hunting lodge/ log cabin appeal, dead animals and all on walls. This is a Very well equipped place to stay with panoramic views of the amazing Alaskan wilderness... and free wifi!
