Our practice is ever growing because you are choosing Emory Eyecare as your eyecare provider in North East Texas.

You will receive the personal attention and professional care that is our foundation. Emory Eyecare will provide a comprehensive eye examination and a contact lens examination, if applicable. Our office also treats and diagnoses common eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. We can also provide care for ocular emergencies and pre- and post-operative care.

Who We Are Report
At Emory Eyecare, each member of our vision care team is selected by Eric L. Ketchum O.D. based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients. Our entire staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient.
What We Do Report
Here at Emory Eyecare, our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function. In addition to eye exams and vision testing, Eric L. Ketchum, O.D. and our team of optometry professionals provide testing for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.
Insurance and Payments Report
We will work directly with you and your insurer to submit claims regarding your care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover many of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care.
Meet Dr. Ketchum Report
Dr. Eric Ketchum attended Lone Oak ISD for K-12 education. He graduated Valedictorian in 2003. He then attended The University of Texas -Dallas where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. He then went on to The University of Houston College of Optometry where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Optometry.
Contact Lens Exams Report
After a comprehensive eye and vision evaluation, Dr. Ketchum will discuss the variety of contact lens options with you to select the type that best fits your vision needs and lifestyle. We will do our best to make you happy in your contacts so you can have fun! If you suffer from conditions such as dry eye or allergies, we can help get you to a comfortable contact lens experience.

I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Ketchum and his knowledgeable staff today. It was my first exam with them but they welcomed me like I had been a patient since they opened. I enjoyed their glasses selection, actually was impressed with the variety. Five stars!

Dr Ketchum is great! He knew we needed to stay on a budget due to no insurance and he communicates well too. Staff is friendly and professional. Well organized with text reminders and printed summary of the visit.

I had an eye infection with lots of pain. His staff got me in almost immediately and Dr. Ketchum found the problem very quickly. He has been our family eye Dr. for a long time. He is the best. Rains County is very very blessed to have him. Highly recommend to everyone.

My oldest son first time seeing an optometrist. He exlained everything to me and made sure we was good to go!, and to top it off the staff was amazing & super friendly to my kids and self as soon as we walked in the door! They will not disappoint you.

I have been taking my daughter there for years and I've never encountered a problem with the service. The staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. Dr. Ketchum explains everything, in detail, about your exam and makes you feel comfortable about the results. Highly recommend this place!

My family had a great experience with Dr. Ketchum &, his assistants. They were all very knowledgeable &, friendly. The office while somewhat busy was, never over-packed.
