Temple Machine Shop was purchased in 1980 and was located on South Fourth Street. The plant consisted of a 2,900-square-foot building with a dirt floor, a few lathes, milling machines, and presses. Local farmers, contractors, and small factories were their first customers. By 1986, the plant doubled its manufacturing space as a result of the almost 550% growth in sales.
The business continued to expand and in 1993 was relocated to the present 50,000-square-foot facility on North 14th Street. Earnings have been reinvested in state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to improve manufacturing capacity. Also, to improve pay, benefit programs, and working conditions to attract and retain skilled and dedicated people.

Horrible place to work. I was welder at TMS and the supervisor always tried to find the smallest things to fire me over. My last day on the job the welding machine failed and I was told I was no longer needed. I am the 10th welder in 2 months that was told the similar story. Welders DO NOT apply here starting pay is $12 to $14. $14 if you do real good on the test which is welding a rod on a lathe. Also supervisor love's to micromanage and talk down on you every chance he gets. I have never been so offended and verbally abused on the job. Apply at your on risk.
