Don's Auto Body is proud to be part of the fast growing community of St. Charles. We have enjoyed our first 52 years of service in the same St. Charles location, and we're excited to add a second location in Cottleville, MO. We're looking forward to our continued success in serving our third and fourth generation clients in their late model collision repair & refinishing needs for years to come.
Collision repair services normally related to vehicle 10 years old or less. This includes all aspects of repair from minor parking lot ding to major collision and structural repair. However we do not offer restoration repair/refinish or fabrication needed on older model vehicles. This process involves the repair of rubber/plastic and composite materials that have become very popular on today's vehicles.
The answer is No. You do not have to go to the preferred repair center. The vehicle owner has the option to choose the repair center. You simply need to state to the insurance claim adjuster that you have an auto body repair center that you choose to use. The process from there varies from insurance companies.

The customer service at Don's is superlative! I've been in the shop twice and both times they were eager to assist, very helpful, dealt with the insurance company when necessary, provided details, and answered all my questions. Scott, the Cottleville location's shop manager, even made a minor repair while I waited even though they were busy and he only had my verbal assurance that I'd do the repairs at his shop. Trust is what's lacking in business these days and I trust them to do a great job, as their many positive reviews show. I will definitely return once my insurance claim is approved.

I recently was the victim of a rear end collision (hit and run) in the St. Louis area while going to a Cardinal ballgame. The staff at Don’s reattached and secured my bumper so I could safely return home which is 100 miles away. Even though I just “walked in” and they knew they were not getting the repair job, they nevertheless helped a stranger get on the road and assisted in the reporting of the damages to my insurance carrier at no charge! They are clean cut and the real deal. I highly recommend you use them for your auto body repair needs.

I can not say enough good things about this business! My vehicle suffered severe damage from baseball size hail. Every single section had damage including the convertible top. I love my car and did not want it totaled. Also did not want to wait 6-9 months for repair here in Oklahoma. So, on advice from a family member, I made arrangements with insurance to take it to Don’s. Best move ever!! They made my car look brand new. My expectations were far exceeded. Don's has been taking care of our auto body & paint work for decades, now. They do excellent work and are worth the wait, if needed, for an appointment.
A newer thing is texting the progress of your auto in the repair process! It's calming to have those notifications and can even text back questions.
My car returned in better condition than prior to the need for body work, a happy surprise.

Can’t say enough about the friendly, courteous and professional people at Dons. They took an anxiety filled process and put me at ease. The quality of the work is to a high standard. Will definitely recommend them and use them again for body repair needs. Edited: 10/2. After cleaning my car for the first time I noticed some minor paint imperfections I wasn't pleased with so I called Scott at Don's and he had me bring the car in. He apologized and promised to fix the issues until it met my standard. Just picked up my girl today and could not be more pleased. I can honestly say it looks better
