Stopped in on Tuesday and reserved a stump grinder for Friday. They put my name and phone number in a book and I asked "when I come in on Friday is this equipment going to be available" I was promised that it would be. Showed up at 4:10 that Friday and the store closed early. It would have been nice if someone could have told me that. I work only a half mile away and could have picked it up at any time during the day. Completely made me p.o.ed there where also customers standing in the parking lot wondering why they were closed. Rented a much newer/nicer grinder from Home Depot.

Rental equipment did not work and no compensation was afforded. Staff did not explain operation and could not care less that the product did not work. Spent an hour and half waiting for the machine and getting it started

$ 100.00 for only 1 hour of a four hour rental. I was told I should have rented a more powerful machine due to fact the machine got stuck in the clay. He could have offered me the correct machine with a discount of the cost of the wrong machine.
I heard that ownership has changed and I was a repeat customer but will not repeat the mistake. My family members also wanted

Best experience EVER at a hardware store. Bob, a very friendly, personable, knowledgeable man went out of his way to help me with my situation, suggesting an even better alternitive for what I came in for. Friendly and with a great personality Bob, who I never met before my visit, made me feel like I was at a friend's home and not at a hardware store.
I consider him to be a very valuable asset to Dunn Lumber and because of him I will return in the future.

Dunn is just around the corner from where I live. I trust the people who work there. Unlike many big box stores, the staff is quite knowledgeable and you don't have to search to find someone to help you. It is worth paying a little extra sometimes when you know that your project will only involve one trip and not two or more. Dunn is what hardware stores should be but often are not.

Went in for a few fasteners, was met at the door by a friendly representative. He asked a few questions and took me directly where I needed to be. He assisted with bagging the hardware and documenting prices/quantities.
I was in and out in a few minutes, which was great as I was trying to take care of a client asap.
The store was clean, organized, well stocked and brightly lit. The only negative, I live 30+ minutes away! But I don't mind driving a bit for great service.
You guys are awesome, great customer service.
