Services
The logo includes a stylized calligraphic image of the Japanese character Kumo (pronounced koo-moe) which means cloud. I developed it with the help of professor Takemoto and his calligraphy master Fujii Yoshiyasu while at Whitman College. In Oriental Medical theory clouds have a poetic relationship with mankind because we are both a combination of Yin and Yang in constant flux.
Roberto believes that a healer should be a guide to wellness. In a compassionate environment he spends time assessing your needs in order to facilitate your journey to optimal health. He specializes in the treatment of pain, pediatrics, women's health, fatigue, digestive health, and weight loss. I've been to 6 different massage business in the Walla area. They all do a great job. Kumo is definitely different in offering various styles and methods. I walked in feeling tensed muscles and walked out feeling relaxed and ready to be active. The cupping and hands on massage are awesome. Highly recommended. Sign up using the online portal or even better download the app Genbook, it will save you time.

My first experience with acupuncture... I was excited and a little nervous. This place however was the best experience. I recommend acupuncture to all my friends. For years I've gotten massages and other thing but nothing has gotten me nearly as relaxed. I called my husband after my stand he thought I had gone to the bar instead because of how relaxed I sounds on the phone. The doctor was great and explains everything! I get asked a lot does it hurt? Let me tell you, you can barely feel the needles. If you've never tried it, please check it out! You will love it!

Dr. Roberto is my favorite medical practitioner ever!
He's educated and intelligent, but I think he's also a natural healer. His energy puts you at ease, and he really listens to identify root causes and to learn the landscape of the patient he is working with. He's helped me with numerous sports injuries, headaches, stress overload, etc. And as an acupuncturist, I'd say he has pretty deadly aim - he always finds the spot that's causing discomfort - and the more I go to him, the better he gets - and the more I learn about my own chi and energy. It's awesome to have someone uniquely care for you

I had all but given up on finding a doctor who could offer suggestions I hadn't already tried. Most only offered already failed over counter remedies and one in particular came off like a vitamin salesman for Usana. I considered trying a naturopath but research revealed they are highly overpriced and not covered by insurance.

Kumo acupuncture is my first experience with acupuncture and it has brought a wonderful change and balance in my life. Dr. Roberto Masferrer is a true healer who draws from his experience and wisdom in Chinese medicine. I had been suffering from severe lower back muscle spasms for a week after doing some (incorrect) heavy lifting. After one session with Roberto, the muscle spasms were gone. He is simply amazing and everything that a healer should be: knowledgeable, compassionate and very effective. He has a calm demeanor that helps you to relax and feel nurtured. I have also seen Roberto for neck pain, which he treated with acupuncture and massage therapies. He has a knack for knowing which combination of therapies will produce the best results.

When I began seeing Roberto shortly after a traumatic accident, I was suffering from a pretty nasty concussion, was in constant physical pain, and was enduring one intense unending headache that only heavy medication could seem to dull. I started seeing Roberto for a back injury. I feel in love with acupuncture and have gone back for help with my foot. He has helped me with scar tissue that I thought would scar my leg forever. I had been working several weeks at a winery during harvest and was desperately in need of a good massage. Roberto was recommended to me by several other employees at the winery so I decided to give him a try - I'm so glad I did - he provided a great massage.
