Finished in 1899, the Columbia building was the last building built on the first block of East State Street and has been utilized as an event venue for gatherings both large and small. Located on Redland's iconic State Street, this historic gem has been closed for use since 1948.

I could not be happier with the way my wedding turned out! The entire experience was stress-free. The team at Speakeasy was extremely good at communicating and working hard to create the vision that I had for my wedding. The day of my wedding was very organized, they set everything up, and contacted all of my vendors!
You will gasp as you step into this beautiful space. Here you'll find wall to wall hard wood floors, large elegant period specific chandeliers, exposed brick and mortar dating back to the inception of downtown Redlands, all brightly lit with natural lighting shining through three massive double hung windows.

I can not say enough good things about our experience with the team at Speakeasy on State. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning the team went above and beyond to make sure everything during our wedding went smoothly. We are forever grateful for Ariell, Katie, and the rest of the team for making our wedding better than we even imagined.

This is an absolutely stunning venue. We received the best service from the owner to the staff. All questions were addressed no matter the day or time of day, and I can tell you that I would send messages late at night when the question was on my mind :-). Thank you so very much for making my day the best that anyone could have asked for. I would without a doubt recommend Speakeasy On State with no question.

The Speakeasy on State is an absolutely stunning venue! The history of the venue and its overall uniqueness is what drew my husband and I to book our wedding there last year. While the venue itself is breathtaking, it really is the wonderful staff that really makes the venue so special. Speakeasy on State is an absolute gem in the downtown Redlands area. We held our wedding at this location in January of 2021, and we could not be happier having chosen this location. Apart from the lovely downtown area the venue itself is stunning. High ceilings with large chandeliers, beautiful brick walls and help with all the amenities. Ariell was wonderful to work with, and very helpful. Our in house wedding coordinator, Katie, was equally as helpful and made sure everything on our special day went as planned. I just had my wedding recently! I can’t say enough how easy and stress-free they made the entire experience. I mainly dealt with Arielle the manager and Callie the coordinator. These two made the experience amazing. They we’re always responsive, extremely helpful, and really did an outstanding job. I got so many compliments on the venue and how beautiful it was from my guests. The best part was the day of the wedding, they set-up everything, including decor, all I had to do was show up. Highly recommend!

This venue is beautiful. It has several original pieces of decor inside. There is an original Speakeasy door, original ceiling fans and I believe the brickwork is also original. There are two spaces at the venue. One can be used as a space for a wedding ceremony and another to hold a reception. The owners are extremely friendly and wonderful people.
