Master Carlos Gracie Jr. is a man ahead of his time. Son of Grand Carlos Gracie Sr., he has used his unique visionary skills to create two of the world's largest and most important Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Organizations: the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) and Gracie Barra.
As founder and current Chairman of both institutions, he has channeled his entrepreneurship to take our sport to the next level allowing thousands of individuals across the five continents to experience the 'Gentle Art' as students, instructors, or competitors.After working for many years as an instructor at his Uncle Helio and then his brother Rolls school, Carlos wanted to pursue the dream of having his own school.

Aside from all classes offered in the Adults Gracie Barra Program Structure, our school offers a set of classes designed to introduce women to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As a martial art designed to allow the weaker to defeat the stronger, BJJ is a perfect fit for women who are interested in learning how to protect themselves - and who wouldn't be, right?
The Gracie Barra Black Belt Program is the last stage in GB's adult program structure. While it does represent the student's arrival at the ultimate level of training in our school, it also represents a new beginning. The goal of this program is to further develop the student's BJJ game flow by exposing him or her to cutting edge Jiu-Jitsu techniques and their variations.

Professor Leo and Arnold are very knowledgeable in their field. Big group of humble and respectful SHARKS!!!!! Lots of varieties of belts and styles in the camp. Definitely one of the best if not the best in Corpus for BJJ for kids and adults. Two years with Gracie Barra have been good to me and my knowledge has vastly improved and my alphabet is building.

Visiting from out of town and my first day at the location I met Professor Leo Cantu who was very welcoming. Professor Cantu's teaching was great and I will be taking techniques back to DFW I've learned here. Professor Cantu's students have great technique and I had some good, tough rounds of training with them. Very good atmosphere for training jiu jitsu, learning, with no egos from anyone during my training.

Leo Cantu and his blackbelts are the most technical I have ever seen. I have personally trained with Leo since 2000 when he was a purple belt. Even back then he could have submitted any blackbelt. Top notch professor with tons of little technical knowledge to make you the best! If you are serious about Jiujitsu this is the place that you need to be training. Gi training is brutal and isnt for everyone but it has high rewards for those that are willing to endure. Leo strives to make you a blackbelt on the mats as well as off the mats.

This place is a great place to learn and grow your Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Leo Cantu is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. From takedowns, guard, passing, prevention, gi, nogi, and self defense. There is a big mat space, restroom/shower, and a kids corner for your little ones. All the black belts train with everyone there. That was a huge plus for me. They have a friendly environment and open doors to anybody who wants to go and train.
