Our dentist office in James Island is designed to change the way you feel about going to the dentist. One of the three main goals at Holy City Dentistry is to make dental care easy. Rather than having separate dentists for adults and kids, you can bring the entire family to our practice for all of your dental needs. Dr. Kristy Castles, formerly Dr. Greenfield, is originally from Richmond, Virginia, where she grew up with a less-than-perfect smile. An elbow to the mouth while she had braces in middle school caused one of her front teeth to come loose and turn gray. Fortunately, her dentist was able to save her tooth, and her self-confidence.

First of all let me begin by saying I have been a dental hygienist for over thirty years. I previously worked along side Dr Castles for several years as her hygienist. She is clinically one of the best dentists I have had the pleasure of working with. Her clinical abilities along with her compassion and kindness for her patients makes her stand above the crowd. I had a very nice greeting as soon as I walked in I think it was by Taylor at the front desk. She was also helpful when I had questions about billing as I was leaving. I love that they pronounced my name correctly because that never happens. The dental assistant who did most of my work was so nice and welcoming. She had a bubbly personality and had good conversation with me. Which was nice because I am new to the area and not really familiar with the dental practices. I am glad I chose Holy City Dentistry on folly rd. It was very clean, the doggos were so cute in the office, everyone I spoke to

I was very stressed going back for a dental appointment, it had been over two years.
Everyone was wonderful and I was at ease almost immediately after being greeted by the receptionist. She was very welcoming, the office manager came out to say hello, also. All of this helped ease my stress.
The hygienist was calming, knowledgeable, and friendly all while maintaining professionalism. I have been to many dentist but this hygienist is one of the best. The dentist was beyond wonderful as well!
This was a positive experience and I feel as if my dental health is in great hands!

Will try and offer you unessisary procedures at high cost. Went in and they wanted to do major work to all of my teeth, despite that I was not in pain and was there for a checkup. When I let them know I was checking with a second option, suddenly there was a 50$ deposit fee to reserve a visit. Old dentist said no work was needed and asked why I came in. I have no faith or trust and caution anyone that is looking at this dentist.

Best dental experience I’ve had. All of the staff I had any contact with from making an appointment to when I left the office are organized, accommodating, and warm. My hygienist was incredible and it was a anxiety and pain free experience. I am actually excited to go back! Dr. Castle has really created an incredible atmosphere at this practice. I watched Gilmore girls while getting a cleaning — and they were super transparent about pricing and everything!

I recently moved to Charleston and needed a new dentist. I came across Holy City Dentistry and I'm so glad I made an appointment. This was the most thorough dental appointment I have had. Before my visit, I filled out online intake forms and when I went in for my visit, the staff was prepared to talk with me about my concerns.
Additionally, my hygienist was receptive to my sensitivities during the cleaning and took action to make my experience in the chair more comfortable, which I really appreciated, since most previous dentists I have been to haven't taken this precaution.

By far the greatest dental experience I’ve ever had. The office design is amazing. TV on the ceiling during the procedure is genius. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful. The use of newest technology in instruments and patient records made everything so simple. I don’t recommend often but felt compelled in this one.

11/10! Dr. Castles and her staff are awesome - knowledgeable, friendly, and super efficient. They explained everything thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable during the appointment. The office is extremely clean and is designed really well. Super nice touch to have a TV on the ceiling so when you're laying back in the dentist chair, you can watch Netflix. HUGE fan!
