Bombay Bazar
Bombay Bazar is the story of years of hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and completely based on just 2 words. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. And we make this our everyday motto for our success, because we all know, if Customers are not satisfied, then it's an end to the business.

Bombay Bazar was started 20 years ago, as a small grocery store, selling just some fresh vegetables and dairy products, and basic essentials for neighbors of Downers Grove, Woodridge, Lisle, Westmont, Bolingbrook, Naperville, Darien, Aurora, Wheaton. With years of hard work, we have been able to expand it both in terms of its area and also the things we sell.

I would like to give zero star, Have been customer for long time, Now they are selling expired item, which is illegal. When I called and told Kamlesh, His explanation was I check it and you should check before you buy. They lost not only one customer, all my friend will know their business practice.

I walked in wearing a mask and the front counter guy and stocker both were not wearing a mask. I walked up to him asking if there is a mask mandate in this store, he said yes, but we (referring to himself, and his stocker) are not wearing it. I left my basket on the floor to leave the store, the front counter guy, said "but you are wearing a mask". I said "yeah but I choose not associate or give business to a store that doesn't."
They deal in food, if they can't be clean and hygienic by wearing a mask, then I how can I tell if the food isn't expired or worse or

They really need to work on their customer service . Really doesn’t matter if they have a big store when they treat you like a nuisance for asking a question .
I walked out and had to go to another place nearby .

I went to buy a small missing piece for my utensil and ended up in a heated argument with the guy at the counter. He was extremely rude from the time I walked in and decided not to sell the piece saying it’s not the right fit. I insisted that I will take it because I thought I could make it work. That’s when things started to change. He said it’s his store and he decides what he will sell and to whom he will sell. He threatened to call the cops when I asked him why does he keep it in the store if he doesn’t want to sell it. My little 6yr old was watching all this and I decided to walk away

One of the best, closest and cheapest Indian grocery store in area. Since I have visited this store, I have stopped visiting big stores. Deals and varieties are as much as we need

0 stars!!! EXTREMELY RUDE and HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! We gave them business worth $450 (I wish I had walked out) yet no grace in behavior with their customer. The daughter of the owner was unjustifiably rude with us in her behavior when the conversation didn’t even directly involve her. If they keep treating their customer as such, soon they’ll be out of business. Go get a class in basic customer service etiquette. Looking at the other reviews it seems the rudeness runs in your character. Get well soon!! Be kind, don’t behave like losers.

I m shopping at Bombay Bazar since it has opened. I love the store because They keep lot of varieties which r considered very good brands in India. They have lot of turnovers of their inventory so I have never experienced that their product is stale or bad. Their frozen varieties never came out stale where as i have experienced stale frozen food from other Indian grocery store. Their prices are very reasonable too. They helped me ordering special items in time for my up coming occasion and later they were very kind enough to accommodate my needs. Overall great service. Will keep shopping for my

This store has large inventory but sometimes quality has been down right unacceptable such as roti atta having hard clumps ( which they accepted and gave me refund) and dark kidney beans ( Kashmiri type) have color on it which came off when you soak them prior to cooking and my last straw that broke my comfort to shop here was tamarind ( the concentrated type that costs $3.99 a piece) had no tamarind juice in it. When I soaked it it was like wet cardboard pulp. The owner simply will not listen to my complaints. He kept repeating one line, we only take unopened package back. There is nothing he

Have to agree with some of the reviews... They are severely lacking in the customer service aspect of things..

that said , i dont don't expect too much interaction with the staff when purchasing grocery ..

Decent inventory , can get all spices and dals

Need to improve the store sign display as it appears quite dated

Worst place I've ever been. Don't come in here often but I suggest everyone go to Westmont for an Indian store instead. Owner is very smug and unfriendly. Prices are high for stale product and dusty shelves.

I don't often have a reason to come to this Indian market, but when I do, it delivers. For example, if you need something to put in your rice cooker (rice, perhaps), you'll find a great selection of bulk rice here at excellent prices. You can also find large quantities of oil for frying your Thanksgiving turkey here (peanut etc.) Don't get me wrong, they have regular sizes as well... You'll find all the other food items you'd expect (produce, frozen, spices). Obviously you can get your south Asian-centric items here, like ghee for good prices.

You'll also find things

It is really a BAZAAR! Wide collection of Indian imported and domestic food products. They have a big inventory for frozen items. Rices of various prices, types and qualities. The customer service is really POOR. The owner has no customer respect, and that makes this rich store one of the WORSE places in DG to shop with!

Great place to shop Indian grocery and nick-Knacks. I know the owner is a bit dry, but it is not because they are rude. It is just that he is a bit shy and reserved by nature. Many times I think they get overwhelmed by customers. You can't make them your friends even if you visit them everyday! But then this is who they are. Not everyone is social butterfly!
I feel the prices are a bit high but I do not mind it as it is not a major part of my expense. I love their frozen section and kitchen tool section.

This place rules! Many different incense and items for pujas. I got a nice Lakshmi photo for $6, most places would easily charge $20. Overall, the store was very clean and organized. I found the staff to be friendly enough. Too many good things in here to pass this place up.

The place is pretty big for an indian grocery store, and the selection is very good, problem is the prices are high. also the staff if practically invisible.... don't come with questions, or expecting help. they have never been rude to me, invisible would describe them best.
