Zoom! is a chemical process preferred by the dentists at Lake Oswego Family Dentistry to remove tooth discolorations caused by coffee, tea, berries, tobacco, medications, heredity or the natural aging process.
Advances in technology have helped to create a biomimetic structure known as white composite filling to work within the biological system of the mouth when fixing broken or damaged teeth and to mimic the natural environment of the mouth by having the same look and feel of real teeth. In addition to having a great, natural look, white composite fillings have not been shown to cause any additional harm later on.
Similar to crowns, inlays and onlays protect teeth by returning strength, structure and function to a tooth that has been damaged by decay. They are engineered to fit into a tooth like a filling and to match the natural color of your existing teeth. Inlays fit in between the "cusps, " or bumps on a tooth, while onlays fit over one or more cusps.
Root Canal Therapy is used to treat teeth that have become infected or begun to decay on the inside of the tooth where the nerve is located. The nerve is what gives the tooth feeling and blood supply. When it becomes inflamed or irritated from a cavity or trauma and dies, it must be treated or abscesses may form around the tooth causing immense pain and even further damage thus resulting in tooth extraction.

I am so lucky to find Dr. Carrie Laird and to have her as my dentist for the last 10 years. My husband and kids they go to her also. Dr. Laird worked recently on whitening my teeth using the ZOOM system, I LOVE THE RESULTt!!! Also performed couple crowns on the most visible teeth in my mouth, the front upper two and now they looks AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you Dr. Laird!

I wish there was an option to give more than five stars! Dr. Carrie Laird and her staff are incredible. This was my first positive dentist experience of my life, and I couldn't recommend this office more highly. I was there for my first cleaning in a couple years (due to moving around the country a lot), so it was a longer appointment. Maggie (my hygienist) and Dr. Laird, walked me through everything to let me know what we were going to be doing next and what it would feel like. I've never had a staff be so thorough with letting the patient know what was going on; they usually just start poking

Friendly, competent, caring staff and care givers. Dr. Laird is thoughtful and knowledgeable, explains all options when some work may be needed. Erin is an excellent hygienist. Everyone in the office makes the patient feel comfortable and confident. A good place to go if you are looking for a great team of staff and providers who have the skills and knowledge needed.
