At your first visit to Martin Orthodontics, diagnostic records may be created to determine the best course of treatment. These records may include a detailed medical/dental history, clinical examination, plaster study models of the patient's teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and/or X-rays.
Route 17 South to Lake Street exit. Follow Lake Street through Ramsey (turns into Main Street, then into Wyckoff Ave.) and stay on for approximately 3 miles. Be sure to bear right at the fork in the road just after passing Crescent Ave. After you bear Right, make fifth Left onto Clinton. First Right onto Everett.
With a crossbite, the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth, especially near the back of the mouth which may damage/grind the upper teeth and may lead to misaligned jaw growth. Crowding occurs when teeth have insufficient room in the mouth. Crowding can get worse over time as one tooth pushes over the other leading to overlapping teeth.

Dr. Martin is absolutely the best orthodontist you could find. Myself and all my siblings saw him from middle school - high school and we all finished our treatments with awesome smiles that we couldn’t be happier with! He’s incredibly knowledgeable about his work and is able to troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise. He’s also very personable and fun, and makes all of his patients feel like family/friends. I went back for a quick fix yesterday of my permanent retainer, and he generously made time for me to come in right away and treated me with the same friendliness and kindness as if

I have been going to Dr. Martin for close to 15 years now and he is truly one of a kind!
He is incredibly sweet, makes honest recommendations and him and his staff have impeccable bedside manner. In fact, I have since moved away from the Wyckoff area and will still make the trip to see Dr. Martin because I have no interest in seeing another ortho. Highly recommend him and I hope he never retires!

My daughter (currently 16) is highly sensitive...after seeking out various orthodontists and a previous (unsuccessful) attempt to get braces on her which she needed, Dr. Martin was recommended because of how amazing and patient he is with kids. Dr. Martin was incredible with my daughter...got her braces on in stages, very patient and kind. Her braces are now off and in the midst of follow up with her retainer. Thank you Dr. Martin (and his wonderful staff)!!!

The first thing I want to say dr. Martin is very excellent. He has a awesome personality. All 4 of my kids got braces from him. I never had a problem with him or with his staff. I think it's staff is very friendly and polite.. only one bad thing the parking is a little rough. Sometimes it's hard to find a parking space. I like the staff and Doctor Morton if you have a hard time paying for the braces. They will work out a payment plan for you. It's 15 years I know Dr Martin. I never ever saw him mad. He is always happy and his bedside manners or excellent.. and he cares a lot about his patients

I am supposed to be getting my braces on August 9th. I am currently using an expander that’s has popped out 2 times already in the past two months. This past week, my expander popped out for the third time and the ring that is supposed to go around my teeth snapped in half. I have also discovered that the rings of my expander are able to move? My expander is poorly made and not put in right. The doctor is very kind but the expander quality needs to be fixed.. In conclusion, I have to wait longer to get my braces in which is very irritating because I just want to get it over with...

The procedure to fix my over-bite was estimated to be a two year fix; it ended up taking 6. He had me get a tooth removed so it would cause the next one to grow in; I had a hole in my mouth for over a year. He also gets distracted by the TV in the room. I honestly dont think he knows what he's doing. His assistant consistantly scratches patients' gums when tying the braces. I'd get your braces somewhere else.

I was referred to Dr. Martin by another amazing professional for both my children. The moment I met Dr. Martin I was so impress by his mannerism and his sincere approach in explaining to a 9 year old how the retainer will help him. He took away my son's fear and made him feel like a ROCK STAR! His staff is extremely pleasant and professional and if every healthcare provider would take a page from Martin Orthodontics playbook there would be so many happy parents walking around New Jersey.
