Metro-East Lutheran High School
Our student-focused environment provides unique learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom to prepare young people for the next level of education. We are blessed with teachers who serve as mentors while guiding our students through a rigorous academic curriculum. Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do here at Metro-East Lutheran High School.

We seek to engage our students in relationships, discussions, and experiences that will help them explore the identity that is theirs in Christ. As a private, co-educational, college-preparatory high school, MELHS exists to help students hear and value the gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Services
An encouraging, Christ-centered environment, uniquely focused curriculum, caring faculty and staff, and numerous opportunities for students to challenge their abilities are just some of what sets us apart. Our highly educated faculty comes with years of experience and a variety of advanced degrees.
Metro-East Lutheran High School currently is preparing the class of 2020 for work, life, and service in the world. Owned and operated by an association of Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, Metro-East Lutheran High School was started in 1977 as the result of several families coming together with a mutual concern for the Christian education of their children beyond the eighth grade.
Metro-East Lutheran High School is supported by an Association of area churches of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Congregations offer financial and spiritual support, as well as nominating a member to serve on our Board of Directors. The Board also has up to four directors at large and two Pastoral Advisors.
Here, students are actively engaged by incredible teachers, experience excellence in curriculum, athletics, and activities, and are equipped to become the Christian leaders of tomorrow. The best way to find out if MELHS is the right fit for you is to visit! Schedule a tour, join us for our annual Open Houses in November and February, come to Eighth Grade Day, or spend a day shadowing a current student.
The rigorous educational program at MELHS is designed to challenge students in an environment that helps each child grow in knowledge and succeed in life. With 96% of graduates enrolling in college, our curriculum prepares students for whatever career they choose, while remaining grounded in Christian values.
