Don't waste your time with this company if you want your pool resurfaced or remodeled. They rarely answer their phone.
My wife called multiple pool resurfacing companies and received a good response and reasonable price from Don to mini pebble our pool and make some repairs. We decided to go with the Pool Dictor to do the work. My wife called to sign a contract and get on the schedule, but Lori said they don't do contracts and we'd be on the schedule for February (quote in August) with 20 jobs ahead of us. No contracts is a bit unusual but we were ok. January arrived and my wife

We called the SD Pool dr based on reviews. They promptly returned our call and gave us a free estimate for a simple pool remodel/update. Their pricing was competitive. And they also provide ideas and work around budgets to give you what you're looking for. I thought that was great because while other companies tried to upsell, The Pool Dr listened and put the customer first rather than profit.

The owner's reply to my previous review is untrue. I never told his office it was a remodel. He didn't tell me he couldn't do it, he told me he didn't know and he'd get back to me. When I called the office after a week, they didn't tell me anything about a remodel, they said he was working on it. All he had to do was return my call, especially after I said in my message, I understood, if he couldn't do the work, I just had a question. He took the time to respond to my review, but he couldn't take the time to call me back.

Don came out today for a consult and I was very impressed. We have a pool that the previous owners built about 4 or 5 years ago so we don't need to a new build or a re-build but we wanted to add some water features to the pool. The spa jets were also not therapeutic at all and so we wanted to have the jets redone. Don, made a few adjustments and in seconds we had therapeutic jets on the spot! I was thrilled! Thank you Don for fixing our hot tub issue on the house! As for the water feature additions, Don was very honest about the fact that due to the location of the pool vs. the pool equipment

After getting bids from several companies, we chose The Pool Doctor for our pool remodel earlier this year. From bid to completion it was a first class experience. The owner, Don, was responsive and helpful as we worked through the different choices of materials during the bid process. His price was competitive and he stuck to it. Any additions were ones that we asked for and were fairly priced. Patric was our project manager and he also was available and responsive throughout the project. We worked with Don to install an in-ground hot tub and make changes to our pool. We had an amazing experience with him and his team! He explained everything and answered our questions very thoroughly. He and his team did excellent workmanship. He was very responsive to emails and texts and gave us great advice regarding decisions we needed to make. There were many times my husband and I discussed how grateful we were to find a company for such a big job that we really trusted. We highly recommend Don without any reservations!!

We had our pool re-plastered a few years ago by Pool Doctor. It is one one the best experience we have had with a construction crew. If we had any questions Don called or was here to explain. I call Don if I have any questions. He again calls back. For my pool he is the only one I will use. He truly is The Pool Doctor!

I cannot say enough positive things about this company, but rather than talk about "a company" I will talk about the guy who owns it. From the moment Don Wall walks up to you to introduce himself, you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he's the one you want to hire. Don has that special direct-eye-contact-customer-service-thing that convinces you that he is honest. He also actually pauses to hear you out. Yes, he listens AND hears what you say. My husband and I decided this is the year we would remodel our existing pool (pebble tec finish, tiles and coping) as well as add additional waterscape features and a slide for my 8 year old son. I called and left a message and Lori returned my call. I spoke with Lori and scheduled an appointment. Disappointingly, The Pool Doctor did not show up as scheduled and did not call to say that he would be late. Building a pool is an extremely risky and expensive project that most people prefer to avoid due to either shoddy workmanship, budget overages or builder incompetency/fraud. We had a great experience working with Don and his team. They really came through for us when we needed them to meet a deadline and on top of that, they do quality work. Don is attentive, professional, and easy to work with. He showed great care and knowledge when he came to give us a bid.
