Home inspections are used to provide an opportunity for the buyer to identify any major issues with a home prior to closing. Some of the defects commonly found during an inspection can cost thousands of dollars to fix. The information disclosed to the buyer after an inspection can be used to negotiate to have repairs done by the seller, or to reduce the cost of the home.
A whole home inspection will cover these items: the condition of the heating system, condition of the central air conditioning system (temperature permitting), interior plumbing and electrical systems, the roof, the attic and visible insulation, walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors, the foundation, basement and structural components.

I am a realtor and Trevor May of Imperial home inspections has been great to work with on multiple occasions. Very professional and thorough without being an alarmist. Takes lots of photos and writes detailed reports. Also very responsive to questions and calls from buyers, sellers or agents. He tidy and makes people feel at ease--no scary looking assistants like some inspectors have. Flexible and punctual. I highly recommend him
