I am writing an update to my previous post. I was contacted by Dr. Azam via email and was able to schedule an appointment with her. I am doing some pretty expensive testing not covered by insurance, but I was aware that the tests might not be covered. I have a follow up appointment next month to discuss the results the tests and a potential treatment plan.

My daughter had her first appointment via video conference because of Covid, and we eager to finally meet in person at the follow up. Dr. Azam took the time to really figure out what was going on with my daughter, as opposed to saying she needed to see a psychiatrist, like her pediatrician had said. Come to find out, after some tests, that there was something actually going on with her, that a psych would have never been able to treat her for.

I love, love, love Dr Mercado. They always push for an immediate solution and my baby loves their patient manner. I chose a delayed vaccination schedule for my son and they've definitely worked with me to honor that, I love them! Their only drawback is that their on-call after hours nurse doesn't always get back in touch.

Horrible, dishonest, and completely incompetent. Long story short, my wife brought my son in to be checked for pink eye. Stephanie, the npr, lied to my wife and sent her all the way to PENSACOLA for tests that could have been performed at any Dr's office. Changing pediatricians asap.
