BikeFlights.com is a bicycle shipping service and a supplier of bike shipping boxes. You get fast delivery, low costs and excellent service with every shipment as part of our Best Way Guarantee. Since 2009, we've been making it easy for individuals, bike shops, events and cycling industry businesses to ship bikes, wheels and gear with confidence.
We refer customers who need help packing or assembling their bikes to our more than 2,147 bike shops in our Bike Shop Finder. To add your bike shop to or update your shop's listing, contact partners@bikeflights.com with your shop's name, address, phone number and website. You may also specify other shop services offered such as used bike box and packing materials, case sales or rental, mobile services and e-bike shipping.
Shipping rates are influenced by the dimensions and the weight of your shipment. In general, the larger and/or heavier your box or case, the more expensive your shipment will be for any given set of shipping locations and shipping speeds.
You will get the best shipping rates when your shipment length does not exceed 48 inches (122 cm); when your shipment height does not exceed 30 inches (76 cm); and when your shipment size is less than or equal to 130 inches (330 cm).The max size package you can ship within the U.S. is 165 inches (419 cm), and your package cannot have a length greater than 108 inches (274 cm).

For reference, here are the four classifications of electric bicycles (e-bikes) according to People for Bikes. MUST be packed by someone with a current HazMat certification applicable to safely preparing batteries for shipping. Become a Certified Shipper- You can become a HazMat certified shipper by completing an online HazMat certification program.

Paid for preferred shipping and the UPS driver just left with the box and never signed the paperwork. When the buyer got the bike the down tube had been crushed! You can clearly see where they retapped the bike. I will never ship a bike with UPS ever again. They had to have laid it flat and dropped something heavy on it.

This was the worst shipping experience.
My brand new $12,000 Ebike I received was scratched and mechanically damaged but bikeflight only offered $300 for compensation.
I attempted to talk to the customer service but that was a complete waste of time.
I would highly recommend to anyone shipping a bike to deal directly with UPS or FedEx, it might cost a little more but they take responsibility for any damages or delay.
I’ll attached some pictures.

I purchased a 1985 Specialized Expedition online and the shipper used Bikeflights.
I paid $190 for this service, and the bike was damaged. I filed a ticket and have been going back and forth with their "customer service" team for over 60 days regarding the replacement of a damaged set of original pedals.
I've hard far better luck packing and shipping bikes myself and using UPS.

This place does not ship bicycles. Man behind the counter had no explanation as of why. Seems like an awesome old Portland place. Wish I could of given him my business. Update! Finally got a chance to talk with this gentleman. Kinda awesome soul. I would say it’s a dirty shame that his window is still broken.

Fantastic service, I was able to get a full XL Carbon Framed bike from Colorado to Orlando in just a few days and for a price I could justify. I would recommend having your packaged shipped TO A BUSINESS where someone can sign on delivery or decline it and return the package because of visible damage. Luckily the previous owner had a PRO bike shop break down the YETI and prep it for shipping. Great service all together.

I used BikeFlights to ship my bike across the country and unfortunately I had to file a claim when the bike arrived at my doorstep. There was a significant dent that had been taken out of my carbon frame during shipping and while I had purchased Premium Protection for my bike, I was definitely worried about the claim process. How would the team handle my claim? Would I have to fight tooth and nail to make me whole again?
