Services
Haines is surrounded by spectacular mountains, glaciers, and wildlife, Haines is the "quieter, pristine" Alaskan destination. Tucked deep inside the forests of Southeast Alaska, Haines can be reached by both the excellent and very scenic Haines Highway and the Alaska Marine Ferry System. A trip to Alaska is a great adventure which you will enjoy and remember for the rest of your lives.
This RV park is a really, really nice park. My wife and I took our bucket list trip to Alaska this summer and of all the commercial RV parks we stayed at, Haines Hitch-up is easily the best one. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, making reservations for us and recommending places and things to do.
One of the very best run RV parks This RV park deserves 5 stars on all accounts. Located within easy walking distance from stores and restaurants, this park is well maintained and everything about it shows the owners care about their guests and they take pride in running a great business. The lots are grassed, clean and level.

Lovely place, clean, quiet, well maintained. No noise, no smoke. Hot showers, clean laundry room. I have nothing bad to say. There is one drawback out of anyone's control: you have to back onto the ferry to get here. The folks at the ferry terminal do a great job of talking you through it though.

Very nice park! First green lawns we've seen since we got to Alaska from Dawson City a month ago. Beautiful flowers and very neatly kept campground. Laundry room was big and immaculate. Great place to use as a base to explore Juneau, Skagway, or just watch the grizzlies catch salmon only a few miles away. We even got a glimpse of the aurora borealis from our site last night. Highly recommended!

Very clean. Great service. Not a party zone. Was told to turn my music off at 10pm. Understandable. And no fire pits! But with clean showers and bathrooms we still enjoyed our stay.

We have driven from NH to Alaska for over 2 months staying in easily over 50 RV campgrounds and this is tops. Very clean well organized and thoroughly planned. Even the sites are grass instead of gravel is very flat. As we are in a smaller rig my only complain/suggestion which most parks in the west lack is a place to was dishes. This can be a real hassle for smaller rigs or campers to get things clean without "breaking the rules" The other comment is the slow WIFI but that is almost universal for RV campgrounds though some have done better. Ironically I almost couldn't post this due to the flaky

Emmaculate grounds, bathrooms very clean, free WIFI, easy in and out. Owners are super nice. Waited until 11:25 pm for us to arrive when the ferry from Skagway to Haines was delayed. Definately recommend this park.

Must be one of the best kept and cleanest RV parks north of Seattle. Perfect lawn throughout (the weather might have helped though 😉). Clean hot showers included. Full hook-up starts @ $41 (2017). Wifi for one device is free. Only downside: Internet speed could have been better.

This RV park is fantastic. They had actual grass that they mow and trim. The grounds are very neat and tidy as is the office/store. The bathrooms are so clean that its a pleasure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you go to Haines definitely stay with them.

We were denied a stay here because we have a 12 y/o mixed breed dog with a small amount of terrier. This was a first for us, we have been camping all over the lower 48 and Canada in many private and government campgrounds for years and our dog was never an issue. We were told that they had no choice due to their insurance. Last time I checked businesses have a choice on who they pay for insurance and what policy they choose.

If you are dog lover and opposed to this kind of breedism, discrimination and narrow-mindedness you may wish to patronize one of the other campgrounds in the area. We ended

We've stayed at ALOT of rv parks all over North America for many years. This one was unforgettable, with mowed and fertilized weed free lawn as a camp site.
This park in Haines AK was the best of them all.
It's been a few years since we were there but everything about this place was great. It was staffed by 2 older couples who were friendly, worked hard and competent.

Very nice park, grass to park on, rock drives. People are very nice. Everything is really good. Two complaints - the grass when mowed gets everywhere. When it is the least bit wet, it sticks to everything and you can't get it off so it gets tracked inside. Second complaint, they don't want you to clean the bugs off the front of your rv or car even if you do it with a bucket and sponge.

The park was very well maintained. The showers were clean and offered private bathrooms. The laundry room was quick and well priced. The couple running the park were very knowledgable about Haines and the area surrounding it. We had full hook ups with Cable and wi-fi with a nice grassy spot. Very convienent to town. All within walking distance.
