Taylor True Value Rental has been at its current location on East Mitchell in Petoskey, Michigan since 1989, but has been in Petoskey for over 40 years! Since 1996 the same family has owned and operated the business, and will continue to do so for generations to come! Taylor True Value Rental's staff has big city experience with small town charm and service.
Taylor True Value Rental maintains an excellent variety of rental equipment. Equipment ranges from a simple ladder to a lift, or a rake to a thatcher, or a pruner to a chain saw. We should be the first place you call when starting a home improvement project, spring clean up, or any project that requires advice and tools.
Turn your child's birthday into a major event with a bounce house, cotton candy machine, bubble machine, and one or more of our many games. We have Graduation Packages available. The packages include tents, chairs, and tables. Many customers are comfortable setting the tent up themselves and opt for one of the USET (Customer Set Up) packages.
Linen rental is a high priority here at Taylor True Value Rental. Our party staff wash and press each piece of linen knowing that it will be used for your very special event. All linen is sent out "table ready." Our linen inventory is endless. We have thousands of napkins, tablecloths and skirts in stock.
Taylor True Value Rental is an Authorized Honda Dealer and Service Center. Our mechanics are Honda certified to maintain your Honda power equipment. We not only sell Honda equipment, we rent it and much of our rental fleet is powered by Honda. Our service technician attends continuing education seminars to stay Honda Certified.

I recently planned a wedding up north and used Taylor Rental for our tent and drapery. They were on time during a VERY hectic season and worked quickly too get our 40x100 tent up and ready for the wedding weekend. They were also great to work with leading up to the event and answered all of my questions patiently!
On delivery, we didn't love the poles of the tent (we thought they would be metal, and were old wood), but when I called to request picking up drapery to cover them they were accommodating and helpful. They pulled our additional order the first thing the next morning for us to pick it

THANK YOU everyone at Taylor Rental! With our wedding on a holiday weekend there was some last minute confusion about delivery times and availability of space at our wedding venue. Taylor Rental went above and beyond to rectify the situation with our venue and accommodate their requests. All of their equipment and linens were top notch and we were extremely happy with everything they provided. What an amazing day only made better by a reliable and helpful rental company!

Rented a industrial chipper, picked unit up and arrived home, got unit set to run, unit will not start. Called Taylor, put on hold for mechanic. Mechanic on a delivery, not answering his phone. I was told my only option was to bring it back and get another. I expected a remedy that would not involve my cancelling plans, but that was not the case. Hauled the chipper back, they had another unit and it wouldnt start until a guy came outside and showed me how to manipulate the choke. Then while attaching the unit to my hitch, the locking handle would not lock down. It was forced into place by an employee

Save yourself time and money and do not rent equipment from this place. The chippper I wanted had a simple fix and they could not have it ready to rent knowing they had it rented for the weekend and this was on a Tuesday. So I opted for the smaller one which would still do what I wanted but when I picked it up Friday night and tried to use it it would not run right. I spoke to the store on Friday night less than an hour after I picked it up and explained this to them and they were about to close so I was told it could be brought back first thing in the morning. Drove an hour to rent from them and they made me wait for 45 minutes in the parking lot untill my alotted time started. I won't be back if that is their level of customer consideration, not everything is counted in dollars. Classic case of a satisfied customer may tell one person and a dissed one 10 or more in this case.

We use Taylor Rental for all of our event needs in Downtown Petoskey. They are always wonderful to work with! Very easy going and always understanding when i have a million questions.
