Change is a process. It takes courage, commitment, patience, and willingness to get out of your comfort zone. Life coaching and therapy both have the same ultimate goal: to help you plan and live the life you really want. A therapist or coach can guide you through the process of change by helping you manage negative thoughts and emotions that hold you back.
They will also help you develop habits of effective behavior, and will work with you to build the skills you need to make choices consistent with your life plan.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the premise that our behavior and emotions are directly influenced by our belief system and by the way we interpret situations in our life. Depression, anxiety, negative thoughts, low self-esteem, feelings of hopelessness, and problems with interpersonal relationships often result from the use of faulty assumptions and beliefs in interpreting events and situations around us.

I have been going to Ioanna for career counseling for the past few weeks, and she's truly an amazing coach. She's quick, thoughtful and genuine. There isn't a better person to bounce ideas, negotiation strategies or interview Q&A off of. And when the job hunt seems dismal, exhausting and long, she counsels you on how to revive and maintain a positive mindset and stay productive and optimistic. Her metaphors and tips are so spot on, I told her she should write a book. Her response was she could never write for a broad base of people who she didn't know, see or interact

Ioanna provided some valuable insight into my career-related issues. Ioanna listened attentively and took detailed notes as I explained my situation. She asked relevant questions and utilized the information in a productive manner. I liked brainstorming with her about possible solutions. Most importantly, I found her advice to be realistic rather than being "pie in the sky". The entire process was very personable since Ioanna shared her own, personal anecdotes.

I can't say enough awesome things about Ioanna. When I was looking for someone to talk to I was in need of some relationship coaching and I am so happy I found Ioanna. My boyfriend then (Husband now) went to Ioanna for couples coaching. We both wanted to get married but were having trouble taking the next step. Ioanna was great at helping us move forward with things and we are now happily married. I have been going to her on and off for two years and she is a wonderful lady. I continue to see her now for life/career coaching.

This woman is fantastic. She listens and offers input. Her advice is straight forward and she usually peppers in some personal anecdotes. She's flexible in appointments; you can meet at her Lincoln Park office in her home or downtown. If you go to the Lincoln Park location, you will usually get the pleasure of her 25 pound cat, "Itty Bitty" sitting on the couch during the session.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. And once you are done working through your demons, she is also a life coach and can help you focus on how to achieve your goals for your future. Now that&apos

I cannot say enough good things about Ioanna. I am so lucky to have found her, especially when I was in most need of figuring out how to manage my gremlins (in my case it was work stress). She listens and provides awesome feedback and gets you to the point where you are better able to manage things on your own. I had a hard time finding a good therapist/life coach in the city...I needed advice & wasn't getting any & then never felt any better. I look forward to my meetings with Ioanna & leave feeling so much better because I always leave with a plan. She has the ability to make
