Services
Applegarth Dermatology PC offers a full array of dermatological services to help you maintain healthy skin. Acne is the most frequent skin condition seen by medical professionals. It consists of pimples that appear on the face, back and chest. About 80% of adolescents have some form of acne and about 5% of adults experience acne.
Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States. Although it's common, accurate information about acne can be scarce. This can make it difficult to get clearer skin. The information on this site can help you understand acne and how to successfully treat it. A rash is one instance where a dermatologist can help a patient. A rash refers to any type of change that affects the skin and can appear as small bumps, red patches or blisters on the surface of the skin. Most rashes are harmless and can be treated with anti-itch creams, moisturizing lotions or even an antihistamine medication.
Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancers. Nearly one in five Americans will develop it at some point in their lives. Most skin cancers, however, are curable if they are caught early. This makes regular dermatology appointments with a professional from Applegarth Dermatology PC increasingly important.

I walked around with head lice only because Dr. Apple Garth did not tell me it was lice. I missed work and they refused to fill out paperwork for short-term disability. I now have nerve damage on my scalp😡

My wife went to see Dr. Applegarth for a shingle type sores and it was the worst experience ever for her. She’s a Covid long hauler and she saw the nurse practitioner Raymond who was the rudest person I have ever met. He talked down to my wife was scolding her like she was a child and accused her of picking her sores which was a lie. She’s a nurse and knows better. He didn’t take a cloture or anything. On top of that he had a student with him and all he taught her how to be rude. I will never ever go to that office again and I recommend other places instead of rude as Raymond!!!😡😡😡😡

This place is absolutely terrible and Dr. Applegarth is an abrasive individual who actually started swearing in front of my 5 year old daughter, in his words "I know this Sh*t". We were simply asking questions and concerned about our daughter, my wife actually left the office in tears because of his behavior and comments. We had to receive multiple opinions and drive to Lurie, spend a night in the emergency room, and Dr Applegarth essentially told my wife that she is doing everything wrong as a parent and needs to rely completely on him. The first time we went there we were told it was not a fungal

I will never go to this dermatologist office again! My doctor referred me to them to get an abscess removed from my scalp. Well I paid my copay just for them to say it's nothing they can do! I came, paid my money, and was referred to them and nothing they can do. I would never go back to them. They are a prime example of money hungry doctors!!!!

Dr. Applegarth did a poor job on a mole removal, leaving a part behind. I was not aware that this was possible because it was not explained to me. When I called in to ask about this, I was told I needed to come back and pay for another appointment. Instead of working to rectify anything, Dr. was dismissive, defensive and patronizing. I also believe that he was being dishonest in his defensiveness. I was completely disgusted and will never go there again. I hope if you decide to go there you receive more professional services. Good luck to you.

I was a first time patient at Applegarth Dermatology. My appointment was scheduled for 12:40pm, and I was instructed to complete new patient paperwork prior to my arrival. I showed up promptly at 12:30pm with paperwork in hand. I ended up waiting 45 minutes in the lobby, and at about 1:25pm got frustrated, cancelled my appointment and left. lt's irritating to make a scheduled appointment only to have the facility ill-prepared to help a new patient. Ironically, if you cancel your appointment without proper notice or if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, they have a posted sign

I just went to Dr. Applegarth office. They asked for insurance card, then form to fill out. The receptionist asked if the insurance was mine, I said no it was my wife's (who works at Porter Hospital, where Dr. Applegarth is associated) and we have their insurance, so I had to put my wife's information including her social security number. I have only been married 2.5 years and don't have that memorized. The receptionist indicated that they needed it, I said "Okay I'll get it to you". She said: "I need it before you go in or you will have to pay like you have no insurance". I questioned that, and
