The Tubby Olive is nestled in the borough of historic Newtown, in Bucks County, just north of Center City Philadelphia, the Delaware Valley and an easy commute from New York City. It has been open since 2010 and is a charming food & gourmet shop that offers an extensive selection of traditional Extra Virgin, infused and organic olive oils and balsamic vinegars "on tap" for you to taste.
These 100% extra virgin olive oils are made from carefully selected and harvested olives pressed at their peak of ripeness. We feature olive oils from the northern or southern hemispheres, which vary in intensity flavor and are categorized as either mild, medium or robust. These oils are sourced from artisans or small farm producers in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile and Australia.
All of our infused oils are flavored naturally using the strictest quality control standards. The flavorings are produced by crushing the whole fruits or the natural reduction of an herb, plant or fruit together with the olives thereby resulting in oils that are unique and delicious. When you try such flavors as our Tuscan Herb Olive Oil or our Blood Orange Olive Oil, your taste buds will come alive!
We offer a wide selection of barrel-aged and flavor-infused balsamic vinegars, as well as several crisp and rich wine vinegars. Our special reserve Traditional Balsamic is aged 18 years and our light and dark balsamic vinegars are aged 12-18 years, to ensure a deep, hearty and complex flavor that is sure to please.

The wife and I have been frequenting the terminal market location for years, and have just started using the online ordering method. Simply put, the best olive oils/vinaigrettes that we've had hands down. They let you sample the goods, pre covid of course, always friendly. Just a great company. Do yourself a favor and try some.

The Blood Orange and Persian lime oil flavors are amazing. We love everything from the Tubby Olive! We could purchase somewhat similar oils from a shop in Louisiana but we choose to ship from Pennsylvania because the flavors of oils and quality of vinegars from Tubby Olive are SUPERIOR! Eating salads is quite an experience now :)

I am Thankful to 'Tubby Olive' for introducing me to the wonderful world of Flavoured Olive Oils and Vinegars. At first thought the product looks little expensive, the moment you taste it , you know why it is. If you are food lover, you will enjoy 'Tubby Olive' products and will appreciate that their products are reasonably priced.

Owner & staff are fantastic! They planned an interactive dessert activity for my daughter's bridal shower. Guests could sample various oils, balsamic and toppings on fresh fruit and ice cream. Espresso, lemon, coconut, roasted walnut.......... It was delicious and everyone raved about it. Guests took home beautifully wrapped gift set with personalized labels listing the names of the bride and groom. It was perfect!!

First time customer. Was greeted right away, given an overview of the layout as to where the olive oils were and the balsamic options. Was shown how to sample, and had a delightful conversation while making my selection. My goal was to find great options to cook with white fishes and chicken breasts plus the occasional drizzle on cheese or salad greens. I did purchase 2 of the 60ml size bottles-- Basil Olive oil and Gravenstein Apple Balsamic, plus two smaller bottles of Mushroom and Sage olive oil and Cascadian Raspberry Balsamic--- each with a great flavor.

The Tubby Olive is a peculiar speciality shop. Olive oil and vinegar is their bread and butter, and come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a store that just sells oils and vinegars.
That said, some of their offerings are very interesting. My favorites were the lavender infused balsamic vinegar and ghost pepper oil. Some however, are less notable, like their Australian olive oils which seemed to be very generic.
The staff is very nice to speak with and they're very liberal with their samples, so you can get a good overview of what they sell. However, I can't help

I admit that I am a late convert to the value of a shop that specializes in olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. I never thought they offered enough of what shoppers wanted and would pay premium prices for. I was wrong.
Tubby Olive has graced State Street in Newtown Borough for a few years, and has even opened another shop in Doylestown. Walking in, the aroma of spices greets you, suggesting a casbah in Marrakesh or old Italian deli off Washington in Philly. I visited the Tubby Olive at the Reading Terminal Market recently and was drawn in by my tastebuds. Too bad I was in a hurry, I would have loved to taste more of their products. I did taste the Red Apple balsamic vinegar and just had to have it! Oh my gosh, it is soo good, tastes very much like apple. Since then my new favorite meal is a salad with a chopped apple, lettuce leaves and sliced almonds then I mix the Red Apple balsamic vinegar with a little oil and drizzle it over the salad. I feel like I could eat it every day! I am looking forward to returning and trying more of their great products

This place has completely spoiled me on olive oil. No more Trader Joe's for me. They have tons of olive oils and balsamic vinegars to try (each has its own jug from which to sample), as well as dips and marinates. I especially love the Manzanillo oil and Fig balsamic vinegar. This is a great gift place -- they put together lovely gift baskets.
