I’ve been here 3 times now. One of the techs, who does a nice job artistry wise, once cut my cuticles so roughly that they bled. So this latest time I intentionally booked with the owner. I arrive on time but the owner says I’m going to see the other tech.
Both are with clients so I reluctantly agree but then the owner is done with her client so I remind her that I booked with her and added that I wanted to try some nail art (which she’s the best in the shop at). The client service was good & design was pretty, but I had a feeling my nail bed was not going to be okay once it was time for removal. After the removal, my nails were weak & bent out of shape. She was a little rougher than what I am use to, paid a little over 200. :( I was really hoping to like this place but I do not think I will be back.

Do not go here! Unfortunately another black owned business with owners like Sicely who was extremely unpleasant. I heard so many good things about this place until I came to see for myself. She had such a nasty attitude and was an all out Scrooge. She came off so cocky considering her edges were clearly spray painted on smh but with that attitude she seems miserable which should not be brought to the business. She is terrible. The nail techs were an absolute pleasure and I hope they find a better establishment to work at. We try to support our own and this is what we receive. I’m disgusted. There

I booked my service online easily and the day of realized I needed to be somewhere earlier than expected- I showed up almost an hour early just to check availability and they were super nice and able to accommodate me after a short wait. I got the natural SNS- i needed a color match for a photo shoot and Cicely helped me choose the color and it came out perfect. Had good conversation, the music was nice and she checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable! My nails look great- thank you!

Came here for a manicure about a week ago. Place was extremely dirty and smelled like nail polish had been spilled everywhere. That should have been a red flag. Their safety precautions felt lackluster at best, but more importantly the place was literally filthy. I then proceeded to get a BASIC manicure. The woman was nice, however my nails were extremely uneven and she left a bunch of half-clipped, dead skin around the cuticle areas... At every other nail salon I've ever gone to, this cost me around $10-20. This place charged me $35. For the worst manicure I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and

Top dollar price without the service and product quality to back it up!
Poor product quality from the polish to the tips. Don’t even get me started on the irrevocable cuticle damage...
Too add insult to injury, the nail tech mis-communicated the price (no prices written anywhere so I was sure to ask upfront) and the nail tech communicated this mistake to the owner. Instead of accommodating what I was quoted, the owner doubled down on her stance to over charge me. Unacceptable.
Basic Pedicure service was good and clean (plastic covering over the bowls)but i will not return due to poor quality

I decided to give this place a second chance and yet they still failed ! You try to support your own people but they not ready to run a business. I cane in for an acrylic pedicure and already the energy is off . The lady was doing my feet & i bled on one toe & then another she literally kept hurting me. She did one foot and i didn't like the work so i told her kindly the owner then jumps in with nasty attitude and no resolution . So i decided to leave and still had to pay for a service that i didn't receive . Our people have to do better . You wont last long !

So after a friends recommendation and quick quick google search I decided to give Brooklyn Nail Company a try and boy they didn’t disappoint. Upon my arrival I was greeted with pleasant attitudes and smiles as I patiently waited for my appointment to begin. I originally scheduled to only get a manicure but the team at BNC was able to fit me in for a pedicure as well. The service was efficient and clean. I will definitely be coming back!

I was excited about this appt. after learning that this was a black owned business. I booked for myself and my girlfriend. I was greeted with a cold stare. I actually greeted her first. She told me to sit in a chair with supplies in it. When I asked her to repeat herself she responded with a condescending repeated response. The other tech moved the things out the seat for me to sit. The tech did an amazing job on my nails. It has been a month and they still look great. However, wasn’t warm or welcoming at all. The owners tone was rude + curt when other customers called and came in to inquire
