Wal was the masseuse that helped me, she was really nice and calm, answered my questions and was very firm but gentle on my back where I've been having issues for a long time. The place is very clean, cozy and cute. Very professional and I will definitely go back to do my nails and another massage soon.

I had my first great waxing experience here. Previously I was turned off from waxing because I had gotten my eyebrows and upper lip hair waxed which caused bleeding, skin ripped off, and a mustache shaped scab in another salon. Val was kind and my experience was awesome. I felt no pain from my underarm wax which surprised me. 10/10 would come again!

I do not get here enough. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Keri is a talented stylist. The owner is very nice. Get a mani/pedi here. Their stations are clean, sanitary; their nail polish selection is safe to use; your nails and toes stay nicer longer and it's worth the money. Their prices overall are reasonable and you get what you ask for. When I secure employment, I will definitely be here more often!

I went here because of the amazing reviews, and wow was I disappointed. I'm insanely picky about who cuts my hair because of fear of bad haircuts. This place fulfill my fear. Though everyone was nice and accommodating, the hair stylist asked me how long and then proceeded to cut it way shorter than I asked. She did a half way check and said only a tiny bit shorter which apparently meant like another few inches.
After, because it was my first time there, they had me do some complimentary thermal hand wax thing which was weird and with 0 instruction on what it was, I wasn't a fan.

I first came for a hair cut with Luiz then I started getting mani and pedi with Val. Now I understand why people enjoy getting their nails done.
To help out with my medical treatment I scheduled massages at LUVA.
Waldirene, the massage therapist, did a great job and I left really relaxed and in peace.
Having all services at one place helps me saving time and money when comes to my wellness and that makes me feel even better.

Looking for a new hair stylist can be daunting. Making an appointment for both a cut and color at Luva, I was greeted with offerings of coffee and snacks while I waited. Good magazines and a very comfortable waiting area made me feel well taken care of. Luis first consulted me about my hair color. He brought out a chart of colors explaining the mixtures and how the final color would look. How professional! Never had anyone taken the time to describe, in detail, the process. Luiz turned my brassy blonde dyed hair into a beautiful buttery gold in only one day and I haven't gone anywhere else since! Additionally, his process leaves my bleached strands so much softer and healthier than what I've experienced in other places with bleach.

LUVA is simply one of the best hair and day spas in the Boston area. From the warm welcome at the front desk, to the fun and playful decor, and the expertise of those that work there, it's always a perfect experience. Luiz is a master colorist who always gets it right. His skills as a Master Stylist are the best I have ever seen. My mother looks fantastic every time he does her hair and always gets compliments on her color and cut. And my cousin, who is a college student, always looks fresh and current with what he does with her hair. And I have never got less than a perfect men's haircut

I went today for my monthly cut from Luiz (if you're ever looking for someone who KNOWS how to do a ladies short cut, Luiz is your man! See my previous review) and I had Val wax my eyebrows after. I have been getting my brows waxed for 25 years and Val is beyond the BEST! She is sweet and pleasant to speak with and she is so gentle. I have very sensitive skin and Always am sore and very broken out after getting a wax-- that is never the case with Val!! To me, that is the ultimate sign of a great brow waxing. I hate having screaming red angry eyebrows for days after and then the bubbling itchy

I have been going to Luiz and Val ever since they worked in Boston. I was very happy that they finally opened up their own place. I had an amazing experience there. The staff was very polite and friendly. It was easy to get an appointment with both Luiz and Val. Plus I decided to treat myself and I also got an appointment for a massage which was a wonderful and relaxing. I went to Luva's for a haircut, nail service and waxing and had a great experience. The convenience of having everything done at one place and not having a crazy wait was top for me! The salon's ambience is very pleasant: rooms for different types of services, polite staff that aren't talking about things that make you uncomfortable and complimentary coffee and cookies made my experience at Luva's a delightful "time off" instead of a hectic item of my to-do list!
