Beautiful place. Went tent camping for the weekend and aside from about a dozen yellow sack spiders (over the course of 3 days) being on the firewood and in my vehicle it was a great experience. Awesome employees there and the campers pretty much stick to themselves. Will definitely be returning again in the future and I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet, family oriented place to camp.

Motorcyclist and ADV Riders beware. Expensive with a campsite amounting to $75 a night for 3 motorcyclists with 3 solo tents. $25 per tent. We'll pass and head over to Blackhawk Corp of Engineers for $12 a night for 3 tents and up to 8 people per site.

Where do I start? This is NOT a campground. This, plain and simple, is an overflow parking lot next to the fairgrounds. There aren’t even any trees! We came in, backed in our campers, unhooked and immediately went to find somewhere else to go. The bathrooms are by the community pool and are DISGUSTING. They never mentioned at any point that… the office is at a totally different location. Not many “camping” pictures on their website, just ones of their Stump Dodger Bash. Now I know why. I have NO idea how they could ever consider this place a campground.

It was very nice. They've recovered pretty well from the flood last year.

We had a very had experience at this campground had to park on very wet ground .pulled in and left a spin mark on the grass .owner showed up and was very rude and biligerant.and told me I would have I would have to move my camper and back it in and pay for the damage to the grass in the amount of 8000 dollars. so after setting up I did hook back… up and moved my camper and back it back into the same site I was in.The next day we stopped at the office to maybe pay for an extra day and we where informed we where in the wrong site and would have to move again. so we went and packed up again

Granted it was a rainy weekend;but the mosquitoes and mud were terrible. Water hook up leaked. Electric hook up was poor. Public showers need a remodel and a good cleaning. There was no hot water! We were to camp for two days but left after 1. Will not camp here again!

Every year around the 4th of July my family packs up the camper for the Stump Dodger Bash. Year after year, I'm amazed by the talent that this campground is able to recruit. Many of the performers are uprising stars straight out of Nashville and put on great shows. The stage set up in the center of the park is unreal for being out in the middle of nowhere and this past year they even had pyrotechnics to enhance the experience. I like the local talent as well. High Mileage is a great band and I enjoy seeing them perform once a year. During the day you can enjoy food from local restaurants and beer

The place was clean and plenty of room for children to play. I think for the size of the campground more than one flush toilet should be available. Not everyone has a camper.

Had rowdy drunks on upper level with stereo blasting til midnight. Be nicer if they had some restrooms/ showers on lower level. Enforce quiet times.

Small campground in between the Fairgrounds & Kickapoo River. Access to the village swimming pool and showers at the entrance to the campground. Would like to see the lower sites with grass not gravel. Very happy with my experience there!
