The Journey to become what Master's Landscape Design is today actually began over 20 years ago. The vision started in 1996 when founder Mike Pruitt had just graduated college from Virginia Tech and moved back home to the family farm he grew up on in a small town just outside of Chatham, Virginia. Mike began to venture out from the family farm to do custom hire farm work for other landowners.
Some of those same customers eventually were requesting not only farm and tractor work but landscape projects around their homes. That's when Mike realized his love and desire for landscape design! For the next 10 years Mike continued working on his gift of designing and building landscapes and hardscapes right there in his hometown.

Stop looking around and just call Masters. Mike and his team are true professional and will not let you down. More important, everyone we dealt with were as we say in the South, "Good People" His prices are very good for what you get.
Mike was in contact with me or my wife the entire project and it went very smoothly. If more people treated people like Master's treated us, the world would be a better place.

Masters Landscaping Design recently helped us resolve a water flow issue that we had in our backyard and laid sod. The crew was courteous and professional. The job was done to our total satisfaction. We have worked with two other landscaping companies in the area and were disappointed with both. The experience with Masters was excellent from start to finish.

It was a relief to work with such a professional company following several experiences of not so professional companies in the past. Master's planted a steep slope for us with 4 trees and 20 ornamental grasses after recommending plants that would help to hold the soil. The customer service was excellent. Mike is charming and was very present at beginning and end, at times lending a hand with the labor. His wife in the office is charming also, and very helpful. The two young men who did most of the digging and planting were experienced and personable and eager to make sure I was happy. It was a

The quality of the work is outstanding. Mike and his team did a fantastic job of working with us in making little tweaks to the design. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Only reason I gave 4 stars- it was a challenge to get the project scheduled; could have been because we began the process in the Summer; but Mike and his team made up for it with the actual work performed. I would recommend them!

Our landscape project included an irrigation system, outdoor lighting and a complete overhaul of the landscaping for the front and sides of our house. We were extremely impressed with every aspect of Masters Landscape and Design from owner Mike Pruitt, the actual design and the crew. Everyone was professional, courteous, respectful and committed to hitting our installation deadline.
