After graduating from Shawnee Mission West Dr. Hugunin attended Rockhurst University with a focus on Business Administration concentrated on Finance. Following that, he returned to school for an undergraduate degree in Human Biology before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University.

Visiting Dr. Joe Hugunin was the best decision I could have ever made for my road to recovery. After suffering from multiple injuries, and dealing with pain from 13 years of intense sports activity, I've gone from thinking I would be in chronic pain for the rest of my life, to now realizing there is a light at the end of the tunnel. From his impeccable bedside manner, to his unique treatment methods, Dr. Joe truly takes the time to understand the root of an issue to quickly get you back on track. Dr. Hugunin is the most helpful, resourceful, and informative human I've ever met. With my sciatica I spent 2 painful months going somewhere else and it was just getting worse. All they did was crack my back, make me pay, and then book me a few days later. Thank God I was referred here! He takes the time and works deep with your muscles to locate and fix the issue. After my first session I was able to gain some nerve-strength back in my ankle and balance on one foot again. He knew right away there was a deeper issue and I needed an MRI asap. Dr. Joe is simply the best! I used to go to him when he had his practice in Lawrence and now I gladly drive 30 minutes to his office in Overland Park. He shows compassion and always knows how to "fix" me. I highly recommend him to those who are looking for a new chiropractor or are looking to go to one for the very first time.

I was first introduced to Dr. Joe over 10 years ago and have never seen anyone else since. He’s been able to fix numerous severe issues I’ve had and has earned my trust as being an expert in his field. I have no doubt he will have many patients who will travel to be able to continue to work with him. Very highly recommended.
