Services
Carousel Capital has a deep understanding of the hard work, sacrifices, and risks involved in building a successful business. We work hard to be respectful of your corporate culture and the unique aspects of your business that created its success. Carousel Capital has not made a CEO change in any platform investment made since 2004 (other than a CEO's planned retirement).
Carousel seeks to produce the best possible results to executives and investors by delivering on our promises. For 25 years, Carousel has invested in strategically important middle market businesses in the Southeastern U.S. That's why as you get to know us, you'll find we are one of the most well-referenced private equity groups around and, we think, the most well-referenced private equity group with our strategy and focus.
The leadership of Carousel Capital has been working together for more than 20 years and remains actively engaged in every investment we make. Most importantly, since we built our business, we are able to empathize with the challenges faced by business owners and executives along the road to achieving their goals.
Erskine Bowles had previously founded and led the pioneering middle market mergers and acquisitions firm Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. Mr. Bowles departed Carousel in 1998 to serve as Chief of Staff in U. S. President Bill Clinton's administration among other distinguished roles in public service. Nelson Schwab had previously been a corporate executive who led a successful buyout as CEO of Kings Entertainment Company.
Since 2007, 77% of our investments have been in companies raising first-time institutional capital. The Southeast represents one of the largest economic engines in the world. On its own, its GDP is larger than that of many developed countries. Over Carousel Capital's 25 years in business, this economy's importance to the US has only grown, producing a tremendous number of great service companies that are ideal for our partnership.
