When you sell your home in the great state of Iowa, you will need to bring your property taxes up to date. So when homeowners sell, they will find the taxes due deducted, on their Settlement Statements, from their proceeds. Depending on the date you close will determine the amount of months of taxes due.
How can I prepare my home for a home inspection? What will a home inspector be looking for? The below list of items may be helpful in preparing for a home inspection. Many of these items can be done with little or no cost and many are regular maintenance items for a home. 3. Divert all water away from the house; i.e. downspouts, sump pump, condensation drains, etc. Grade should slope away from the structure.

Michelle helped me purchase a home years ago and I was so happy then that I've since referred her to others and decided to use her recently while I built a home. So happy we did. She sat in on all of the builder meetings, kept meticulous notes, kept us all on track and even acted as a mediator when we found discrepancies with what the builder delivered vs. what was promised. Michelle made our part so easy. Building can be emotional and she let us sit back and enjoy the process. If things were getting stressful, she jumped in to take away our stress

Driving around Des Moines for 2 days just after Christmas in snowy, windy, 10 degree weather looking for a house to purchase in a city you don’t know anything about can be stressful. In spite of it all Michelle… managed to make the whole experience positive, efficient, and even fun! Michelle has a way of reading her clients to find out what’s important to them in a house, then helping them find one that fits the bill.
