The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition. Upon arriving, each patient and parent will be seen by a treatment coordinator, who will take the necessary X-rays to allow us to make a proper diagnosis.

Some of the best customer care I've experienced in a professional office. The care continues when you sit down in the chair. The rest of the staff is caring and the cordinatination of patient care is excellent.

Incredible people and incredible work! Came here somewhat urgently after I had a permanent retainer pop off while visiting my parents. The doctor and staff knew exactly what to do and were super friendly, genuine and knowledgeable. They really helped me out in a pinch and made me feel immediate at ease that I was going to get quality work done. Great prices too - highly recommend!

I’ve been with Rio Grande for almost three years and have felt like family since day one. From Los Alamos to their Santa Fe offices they are always professional and welcoming. I’ve moved almost an hour away but I wouldn’t trust anyone else! They have held my hand, laughed at my corny jokes and allowed me to truly relax. I’m finally done and am going to miss them all. For the last 4 and half years of being a patient in this establishment, those have been the most wonderful and amazing years of service in trying to line up my teeth(My teeth were bad). Fantastic staff and friendly doctors/orthodontists, which it’s a key aspect for a dental place. From the moment I came in Alfred always made me feel welcomed. Dr. Vest, Marianna, Karina and his other staff are amazing! They’re all very patient and answer any and every question I had. The entire atmosphere of the office is very pleasant. I recently took my braces off and now love my smile. My younger sibling also needed treatment and without a doubt I recommended her.
