Rik's Cafe

Honestly, wife and I were pretty disappointed with the way our food tasted. It looked great but that was about it. My mussels tasted fishy and didn't have the flavor of the dish. Her ribeye sub was over cooked and dry. We have had some good food from Rik's Cafe but tonight was not it for the price.

Went to Rik's for the first time with two of my friends tonight! We had a great time and the food and drinks were amazing!!

Also our waiter Charlie was extremely kind and helpful and overall amazing at his job! We'll definitely be back again, can't wait

This restaurant is 10/10! I hadn't looked at the menu before going, our group just decided to stop in after skiing and it was so worth it! Wonderful food (try the loaded tots!!!), awesome drinks, and fantastic service. Trey was our waiter, and he was simply the best. If you find yourself going to Rik's Cafe you won't regret it. Grab some food and drinks and ask for Trey to be your waiter!

I can't wait for my next trip to Hagerstown so I can come back to Rik's. Don't let the strip mall fool you; this place is outstanding. Steak was cooked super well with a great Demi glaze. Great local beer selection! The dessert menu came out and I couldn't decide. The warm butter cake with blueberries was incredible l! The ice cream

What a wonderful experience! We were on the interstate and found the restaurant and called ahead to get reservations. They were able to get us in. To our delight the meal was fabulous! I had the veggie wrap and my husband had the crab grilled cheese. So exciting to find a restaurant that has delicious vegetarian options. But every meal that came out around us looked so good. The staff was happy & friendly. I felt like a regular patron of the restaurant. I will make sure when I drive that way again I stop at this restaurant!

Best place to eat. Have always exceeded our expectations. Def recommend! Go wild and try anything- you won't be disappointed.

Came to Rik's on the recommendation of the owners of the Elmwood Farm B&B. Glad we did.
Everyone on staff were friendly and eager to serve, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Great cocktail selection - I had the Dirty Local martini. Delicious.
We split the Salmon Carpaccio. Wonderful balance of flavors, and yes that includes the arugula and spiced pita chips.
Then I ordered the Epic Crab Grilled cheese, truly an epic sandwich. Wife had the Blackened Mahi Tacos, also delicious.
Desserts were tempting and we gave in to said temptation with the peanut butter cake.

Hello all! Today we have TWO wonderful Specials! Firstly, on the upper, we have a Shrimp and Chorizo Stuffed Filet over Mash and Fried Brussels with a Cheese Sauce, Crispy Tortillas, and Mango Salsa! Secondly, on the lower right, we have a Petite Filet with a Crab and Orange Roughy Cake with a Lemon Cream over Jasmine Rice and Sautéed Brussels! Cheers!

Attentive servers. The food is ALWAYS knocked out of the park! Drinks are SO good and always kept full!

Traveling through and we used Google reviews to give this place a try. WOW...this place has great...great food and awesome service. Even the owner Rik is great and had some great conversations about running (which my oldest interested in).
I had a Italian Club sandwich (in pic) which had a little kick and was AMAZING along with house fries...mmmmm!! Highly recommend!!

The food and speed of service was excellent. My only hiccup was experienced during seating. I was seated after a couple who came in after me and was told the table they had available for me had a 7:30 reservation on it at 6:50. I quickly ate and waited on the couch for my "to go" order to accommodate the reservation. At 7:32pm a walk-in couple was seated at my vacant table. So I really don't know what to think of that.

If I would have been made to feel a little more comfortable during my dining experience, I would have given 5 stars.

I love Rik’s Cafe! It’s really nice to frequent a restaurant where the waitstaff are always smiling and personable and the food is tasty! I just recently moved to Hagerstown and I’m enjoying trying new places to eat, and Rik’s is becoming a regular go-to! The menu is ample with lots of assorted selections and the food tastes so fresh! It feels like a lot of love and care is put into every dish! My friend and I had the Black Bean burger with hand-cut fries and it was delicious! I had the Cobb Salad prior and it was awesome! Updating with two more dishes on a recent trip. The pasta dishes can be quite heavy and I'm not sure if I tasted the "mango" in this particular dish and if it went well with seafood. Nonetheless, it was a hearty solid dish that balanced well with a Cobb salad. The service is consistently great and it was particularly thoughtful for them to split in two.

We had a new but enthusiastic server. Service was great. What really impressed me was the presentation of the dishes. Everything was lovely! We started with the soup of the day - potato and ham. Lovely! Then the jalapeño popper dip with seasoned chips. I wanted to lick the bowl! For those of us from AZ, I would have liked it a little spicier. The entrees were okay. I had a Cobb salad (nicely presented) and the Hubbs had the Mahi sandwich. The sandwich needed a well-toasted bun and more sauce.

Great place. My wife and I had the bean burger, which was a special treat. Made from scratch and really nice size served on fresh naan bread. The avocado topping and chipotle sauce together with some potato chip was a perfect combination of flavors and texture. My wife had sweet potato fries with apple butter dipping sauce, another great combination. I had asparagus as a substitution for the fries or chips that come with the meal. Great service. Definitely a place that we will came back to.

We were traveling home from a camping trip and were looking at Yelp reviews for an early dinner. Decided to try Rik's as recommended. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff were all kind. I tried the crab grilled cheese, my friend had the Chesapeake cheesesteak. The toast on my grilled cheese was burnt but, the innards of my sandwich were good. My fries were cold. My friend said here sandwich was very good. For dessert, we both had creme brûlée cheesecake which was awesome. I'd dine here again.

Great restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise. Located in a strip mall. The front of the building is pretty plain. Inside is well done with a very large bar. Great selection of beers and wine. Great menu selections. I tried the braised beef ribs. They were very good. Service was also very friendly and good. I would definitely recommend this place.

With wifey out of town, I decided to take my mother-in-law out to dinner. Yes, I know, that was nice of me. We decided to try Rik's. Decent but not great beer selection. Crab cake grilled cheese was underwhelming. BUT: watching my MIL smile like a little kid and hum while eating her sweet potato fries with apple butter dip was worth the entire visit. Seriously, the food is good, but not worthy of five stars IMO. The problem is that the bar for food is not terribly high in the Hagerstown area, so good seems like phenom when you find it. Summary: a nice comfy place with good food. Would recommend

Food was great as well as the service. First time here because of the Google guide's saying I need to try this place and it was fantastic. So good to know a place is going to be good ahead of your visit. I will definitely be back to enjoy this place again in the future. Don't worry about trying Rik's Cafe for a great meal.

Great local find on our fam vaca. Reasonably priced, very attentive service. My teenage boys were extremely happy with the choices! Excellent steak salad!
