Never EVER trust this place with your vehicle! I took my truck there for AC repair and they replaced one part (which I paid for), only to damage a more expensive one. Then told me it was "beyond their capabilities" to fix the new damage! If you trust shade-tree mechanics, this is the place for you! It's an auto repair SCAM shop, take your money elsewhere.

I had 3 tires from pope Davis earlier in the year. The staff is either brand new or stretchEd to thin to provide the quality of work I've received from them before. My husband waited 2 1/2 hours without even a single person speaking to him. we left town as soon as they finished because we trusted their work. That was a BIG mistake. The tire was just thrown on there without balancing alignment or rotation being done or even recommended. Ridiculous.

I just left Pope Davis on Lake Murray and I must say, Jason, Madison, and new Adam went far beyond their jobs description in getting my Chevy Silverado fixed. I want to thank them and will be going back as long as they are there. I hope the owner reads this and replies. This old truck means so much to me - belonged to my brother. A big thank you!

My tire had a huge leak during work on 77. Pressure went from 34 to 4 within 2 minutes. Took back in to Pope after putting on spare and they patchedy tire and inflated my spare sms had me back to work in half an hour. They weee very professional putting up with me because needless to say I was flustered changing a tire on 77 in khaki work pants.

I have had several cars here, and every time they seem to have gotten the job done well enough, soon enough, and right on budget. I did get new tires, and they delivered exactly what I shopped for online, and exactly when they said they could get it done.
They did have trouble with an air conditioning issue. I might have rated the Sephora, but there's a review from some lady talking about how dirty the men's bathroom is. Someone needs to offset a woman going into inspect the bathrooms of an auto repair shop. What's up with that??

Had my car in to them 3 times since July 2020, all for the same issue of AC running hot while idol. Last July (2020) was not a very good experience and I only took it back the 2nd & 3rd time because I paid for the work to be done the 1st time. They did repair at no charge the 2nd time in Nov 2020, which was 4 months after the 1st job, said the parts must have been bad. Now, 6 months after that repair, I am having the same issue, again. Where do I start. I normally bring my cars here and deal with the young lady that works at this location. She has always been fair. I went on 05/15/2021 to get tires for my car. The price was fair and the young lady was her normal friendly self. My sons car stopped on him 05/26/21, so I had it towed to Pope Davis. I spoke with Justin. When I walked in, I explained to Justin that I was not a mechanic but I think it is something going on with the fuel. He said, I will check it out and let you know. The next day, he called me back and said, "It's the battery and the alternator and it going to cost

I had a unique problem. Needed to get tires quickly. They were more than accommodating, friendly about my needs and went above and beyond what I expected. Justin was very comical and that kept me from having a meltdown over my tire situation. Good guy, asset to the company. Noah is very kind and I made me feel that he has the best interest of the customer at heart, also an asset to the Pope-Davis family! Awesome experience, great shop, and my new place to get tires and work done to my car!!!

Purely unethical. Charged me for a brake job, made me wait 2.5hours and two weeks later I realized they did not perform any service.
Took my 08 Silverado in to get new brakes pads installed in the front. I bought the pads from advanced auto parts because I am very picky about what type of pads I use. They made me wait 2.5 hours just to switch my front pads and turn my front rotors. Charged me $119.00 for the service EVEN WHEN I BROUGHT THE PADS TO THEM. And Two weeks later on my way to work I hear metal on metal when I hit the brakes. Checked it myself and realized they never changed out the pads

I took my vehicle to pop davis in irmo on Tuesday for ignition problems. I had the battery tested 2 times from different companies and they said the battery was good. Come to find out I needed new terminals that cost 5 dollars. Nick in the store told me I need to spend upwards of $250 for a battery and terminals and instillation also tried to replace my new serpentine belt that's completely fine!!!! Why would your company try to take advantage of me? My truck works just fine with new terminals. The fact is I only needed a proper truthful diagnosis that would have cost me about tops $65 dollars

I have visited with 4 independent wheel service centers and all state that the issue was due to shop error. I also had a wheel specialist in Savannah GA look at the rim in question Monday Oct 13 2014 that repairs bent wheels for a living. He also stated that this occurrence was not caused by hitting something in the road and was created by a tech in the shop. A cars wheel cannot be bent from an horizontal point in relation to the lug pattern from hitting a pothole. These guys will tell you anything to get you to remove your complaint.
