Do not walk, run far away from Howard Shapiro! They scared me into giving them a $20k retainer and then did no work on my case! I had to hire another lawyer to clean up his mess due to his neglect and he refused to give me back any of my retainer saying it is in his contract that he can keep it! However, even the State Bar said it is illegal and I was told they are investigating him for fraud! He needs his license revoked ASAP!

I was given Howard's name as a referral from another attorney I had used for something else, and the Shapiro Law Firm did not let me down. Both Howard Shapiro and Lisa Jones were always quick to respond to my inquiries regarding my case, (even often on nights or weekends), and they both went out of their way to make sure I was always happy with the decisions I/we made. The Shapiro Law Firm is Awesome.
Mr. Shapiro never ran out of patience (for me) and worked for me above the call of duty. Twice when I was on a short string Mr. Shapiro got me results in less then 24 hours
He is both a competent lawyer and he know his way around Collin County.
His fee was all inclusive, he never came back and asked for more money.

Todd Shapiro is a fantastic attorney! After interviewing a couple attorneys, I hired him based on his experience. He helped me with a DWI. He explained every detail to me throughout the entire process patiently answering all of my questions. He was professional, very responsive and constantly accessible even on weekends. Mr. Shapiro is one of the worst lawyers I have ever witnessed in court. My wife and I hired him and MY GOD this guy does not prepare. I could have recruited my 12 year old nephew to prepare to defend us better. I'm amazed this man maintains his business. There is no way the reviews on here are legitimate. He was arrogant, unorganized, unprepared, and all around unlikeable. Lawyers are seen as slimy and untrustworthy because of people like him.

I actually did not use Todd for my case. But, I would strongly recommend him! He was very helpful and even texted a few times to see how the case was going. He took time to answer my questions even though I didn't retain him.
He was very compassionate and showed sincere concern for our situation. I was really surprised that he wanted to follow up with a case that he didn't take, but, I was very thankful.
