Spectrum Psychological Services
Feeling stuck and not sure what the next step is to take in your life? Maybe you have a nagging sense that things could be "better, " but you're not sure how to get to that better place. Difficult times happen to everyone, but for some people those times seem to keep on coming and it's becoming more of a struggle to get through the days.

You don't have to do this alone, and as a psychologist I'm here to tell you things can get better. Life is unpredictable and where you thought you were one day may not be where you find yourself the next, or perhaps where you want to be in the future. No one stays entirely static, and your thoughts and feelings about who you are and what you desire from life evolve as you grow.
Services
My name is Dr. Erica Essary and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist also certified in addictions. I offer individual and relationship therapy for adults. My hope is to co-create a healing space where you are able to fully be present with yourself in order to learn, grow, and change. I collaborate with you to identify your therapeutic goals, working from a relational integrated theoretical framework.
Sometimes life feels overwhelming and you look to find a way to escape or at least mute all the swirling thoughts and emotions. When coping takes the form of substance use, it can have far reaching, negative impact on you and those around you. We are all in relationships with the people around us, but we tend to forget we are also in a relationship with ourselves (sometimes very unkind ones.)
Have you been having difficulty finding a therapist near you to fit your needs? Or, despite wanting to get started in therapy, perhaps you have not been able to make it to sessions due to your schedule and lifestyle. Maybe you are simply not feeling well enough to travel or risk further illness.

All of these circumstances are excellent reasons to consider teletherapy (also called distance counseling or online therapy) as an alternative to in person sessions. You can connect from the privacy of your home or office, and not worry about the commute, weather, or traveling costs, while saving time and energy you can use for the rest of your day.
First, we will have a brief phone consultation to discuss your concerns and how we can address them. This is typically about 15 minutes in length and it's a way for both of us to decide if we are a good fit for one another. Then, we will take a look at our availability and find an appointment time that works for both of us.
This means I am an in network provider (INN). We will verify benefits to determine whether you have a deductible and how much has been met, and whether you have a co-pay or co-insurance to be collected at each session. For all other insurance panels, I am an out of network provider (OON). I will provide you with a "superbill" for services, which is a receipt your insurance provider requires for you to be reimbursed according to their plans.
