In town for a hockey tournament next door and searched on sandwiches in Fremont. Lucky for us, we were right next door. Grabbed their Italian sub and Club, asked for both heated.
Great atmosphere and friendly service during their lunch buffet which looked delicious. Their subs did not disappoint and 100% hit the spot! Definitely would eat here again to try the other options. Big fan!

Yesterday a kid came to the door & sold us a fundraising card that gives discounts to various cafes & restaurants. He said it was for his soccer team. Today we decided to go to Fremont Lakes & get a Nebraska passport stamp at The Tow Line. We got a digital stamp because it wasn't open. Then we went to Hero Deli to use the discount card. The space is shared with Gambino Pizza, which was also on our discount card but we decided to go for the deli. Service was a bit slow with only 2 people working during lunch, but our sandwiches were very good. Bookguy ordered the spicy Italian sub

The free sandwich if you have the coupon sure isnt the same quality as the one you actually pay full price for. If your going to skimp on my free one then just keep it. The reason I know is i get the same sandwiches all the time so I know that the one I got was like low amount of everything. . It was more like a diet sandwich. Sure the bread is full size still. Then the manager had run out of black bowls for us to make our salad and he had the mind to actually say dont be greedy making the salad with the boxes. You dont tell your customers to not make the salad. Lettuce isnt that high of priced

Ordered 5 items and everything was cold and nasty! Also everything was made wrong, I called to get a refund was told I would have to wait until owner was back, called when he was suppose to be there. He wasn't there told he would be back an hour and called wasn't there again. Left my name and number never got a call back. Very disappointed because I spend about 35 dollars and everything was made wrong and it was very cold. Will never order from here again.

Hero Sandwich Shop has been a staple in my family for over 25 years. They've consistently provided an excellent variety on their menu over the years without sacrificing taste and customer service. This is a great place for lunch or dinner. There's also a party room for kids and business lunches/meetings. I haven't been here for a while since I'm living in CA, but if they still have the chocolate chip cookies, they are dang good and I recommend trying one...or three.
