As athletes of all ages are playing harder and longer than ever before, the potential for concussions (classified as a mild traumatic brain injury~TBI), continues to increase. Sports injuries occur when playing indoor or outdoor sports or while exercising. Sports injuries can result from accidents, inadequate training, improper use of protective devices, or insufficient stretching or warm-up exercises. The most common sports injuries are sprains and strains, fractures, and dislocations.
Recently Dr. Gary Voytik was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the Tennessee Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association at their annual conference in Murfreesboro. Voytik has been the team doctor for Cleveland High School, Cleveland Middle School, Ocoee Middle School, Bradley Central High School and Walker Valley High School for the past 15 years.

Nice office, friendly staff and a great doctor. Dr. Voytik did my release surgery quickly to fit my schedule. I'm so glad that I found him and he listened to me about my hands. I had mentioned it to other physicians and no one suggested the testing or really took me seriously. So if your doctor won't listen to you when you tell them that something isn't right, go see mine. Added bonus the lady who schedules appointments will lie to you about your appointment time if you're always late.I told them to tell me that my appointments are 30 minutes earlier than they really are and they have LOL

Dr. Voitik is a good and caring Doctor and I would give him a five but he has an assistant, Brandon, Who when I told him about my knee problem his solution was to pray for it. Of course it didn’t heal the torn Cartlidge so I needlessly suffered another six months. . dr. Voitik did a scope on my knee and is feeling better but today I went back and Brandon didn’t have a mask on like everyone else and I. I asked him to wear a mask and he refused and told me some nurse would take care of me then he went out in the hall beside the room and told me to Please go back in the room, but he stood about

He kept a cast on my foot for 2 months, because I broke my fifth metatarsal. That was no problem. The problem is where he released me to work the very next day, with no physical therapy or nothing. My calf muscle was non existent from not being able to use it for 2 months . So day after cast came off, I am stuck back in my job where I am on my feet for 11 hours a day. I have had problems with that foot, ankle and leg ever since. That was 2008 or 2009.

I went to Dr. Voytik for my hand pain. I had already seen a Dr. farther away but wanted to try someone closer. I was scheduled with his assistant, Don Hayes I believe his name was. What a mistake! HUGE! He gave me an injection in my hand, but get this, he called the xray tech in to hold my thumb a certain way, pulling it tight. I screamed so hsrd, screamed for him to stop, he did not. I was in so much pain, crying, shaking, it was awful! I had to wait in the room to calm down. I cried all the way to my car. I couldn't drive using that hand, just terrible pain.
