The loss of any extremity or limb thru amputation or birth anomalies is a life altering event. Absence of all or part of the hand presents a unique set of challenges for any individual; however the use of prosthetic devises can dramatically assist in recovering much of those lost abilities. The loss of an extremity involves more than just the physical loss but also physiological and emotional challenges as well.
If you or someone you know is struggling with the loss of a limb or is about to have an amputation surgery, we can send a peer mentor whom is also an amputee to talk with the patient and help lift their spirits. If our patient is not able to travel, we can meet the patient at their home for all of their needs.
Gulf Coast Prosthetics is contracted with most insurance plans, including most HMO's and PPO's. Please check with us to determine if we take your specific health plan. Also, please be prepared to pay all co-payments, percentages, deductibles, and other expenses not covered by your insurance at the time of your visit.
