Swags Sport Shoes specializes in running but is more than a running store. Although runners make up the majority of our clientele; our goal is to provide proper and comfortable footwear for everyone. We carry everything from supportive sandals to steel-toe work boots. When it comes to selection, there are very few stores which can compete with us.
Listed below are the brands we carry in our stores. We stand behind the quality and effectiveness of the brands we sell. Swags carries a wide variety of shoes for all activities such as aerobics, casual shoes, cross-training, hiking, running, tennis, volleyball, walking, work, wrestling and more. Swags also carries a great selection of insoles and training gear.
We love our customers and thoroughly enjoy spending time with each of you. We understand people are busy or have health concerns and are not always able to spend extended amounts of time out and about. Virtual Shoe Fittings allows us to still do what Swags is all about, serving our customers by fitting them in proper footwear, while catering to everyone.
The Swags Elite Racing Team is made up of athletes who have been chosen through an extensive selection process to represent our store. I had heard great things about this store and knew I had to try it out prior to getting my new pair of running shoes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I showed them my old shoes and they were able to help me find a new pair very easily based on what had worked in the past. The prices are reasonable and the process efficient. I was very appreciative. Thanks to everyone at Swags!

I really like the personal service you receive at Swag's. I tried on four pairs of shoes until I found the perfect one for my workouts. All the while, the shoe fitter patiently waited for my assessments. You might wait a bit for an available staff member because the store is always busy. On the other hand, I never felt rushed when it was my turn to be fitted.

Staff was super helpful in finding shoes to help with my specific issue. Offer a discount for many local gyms as well so definitely ask! If the price seems a bit high just remember you're paying for their knowledge and experience, not just trying out a shoe from an online big box, plus supporting local!

Customer service was excellent. I went in yesterday for a badly needed new pair of shoes. I really appreciate the running community shoe stores. Their expertise cannot be matched by big chain stores, attention to detail and the value that local retail brings back to and provides to our community. Support this place before we're all stuck with the cold internet as our only resort.
Josh, the salesman took the time to talk with me, observe my gate and offer a couple of options. The transaction was attentive to finding a good fit to meet the purpose of our visit.

The employees at this store changed my entire outlook on purchasing shoes for the better. JC helped me today and he was so knowledgeable about his merchandise that it blew my mind. I used to go to a Foot Locker, Finish Line, DSW etc. to look for a cool pair of shoes not thinking the shoe would "perform" any differently than the next. Well I was wrong. Nobody's feet are identical and they know what shoes will work for you to accommodate your needs. I will always shop at Swags for my footwear from now on. Great job Swags!

So I am a cheapskate when it comes to tennis shoes. However I am now a convert! Swags maybe pricier than shoe carnival (lol) but this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation.
We walked in and were immediately greeted and helped. I had to take my shoes off and walk for them. From that they came up w several options for my trip to Europe w heavy walking planned.
I wore my new shoes to a festival that night to start "breaking them in" only to find I didn't need too! Amazing what having the correct fit and support does for your feet, knees, legs, back, etc

Great store. The young lady that assisted me in purchasing a pair of shoes was great. The attention to detail in the questions she asked and the shoes she suggested were spot on. Not only did she get me in a pair of shoes that were perfect for my low arches, but she helped me understand why some of my previous runners had caused some knee issues. I'll definitely be back again, and I'll send everyone I know here.

This was my first experience at Swags and as you can see I did walk away with a pair of shoes. The shop has an excellent selection of running shoes, likely the best in Louisville. They have all kinds of other gear like clothes, packs, socks, gels, etc.. the staff were really nice and welcoming, the shop was clean and well organized, and prices were pretty on point with anything you'd find online. No complaints about selection, customer service, or prices.

I needed new shoes for running. I hear this is the place to go from many. I have been here before but it's been a long time.
I walked in and was greeted immediately even with the store being pretty active. I explained what I needed to Sam and then he watched me walk barefoot. He was able to tell from my walk that I needed more arch support.
Sam brought our 3 pairs of shoes which he laced and placed on my feet. I tried them all on and walked in them. I narrowed my search down to two of those and asked for his recommendation which he gladly gave. I was In and out in 15 minutes!

I rarely post reviews but thought that Swags deserved these five stars. I went on a Monday night looking for some new running shoes, and the staff was absolutely incredible! They watched me walk so that I would get the exact support I needed then directed me to the perfect shoes. They were also very willing to answer my questions about running and preventing injury in general. Definitely skip a trip to larger shoe store chains and go to Swags instead!

I went into Swags in February to purchase my first pair of "running shoes" since high school. I was helped by a young man, probably late high school or early college, who was not knowledgeable. Regardless of my hesitations regarding his customer service, I walked out w a pair of shoes... I have since increased my running and mileage and have found that the shoes I bought are not the right fit. I went back today, wanting to relay my previous experience and hoping to work w someone more educated who could inform me and assist me to find a new shoe. I worked w JC and he was phenominal -

These guys are seriously the best. I had bought a pair shoes from them two weeks ago and I was having some pain when I was running in my shins and knees, so I took them back in and they exchange them and found the perfect shoe for me without even batting an eye. They are awesome and so friendly, and really take time to find you a good shoe!

The ONLY place in louisville to buy shoes. I must've tried on 6 different pairs of shoes and not once did I feel like I was being a burden. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the proper fit. They were friendly, patient, humorous, and a true pleasure to work with. I very much appreciate their expertise and my feet thank them too!!
