BEWARE OF THIS SCRAP YARD (They will RIP you off)
We have taken our scrap here a few times and 3 out of 4 times they pulled some shady stuff. We must not look like regular scrappers because they always treated us like we were new to scrap metal, so we let them think that to see how they would pay us. Here was the yesterdays encounter.. We been scrapping everyday for 3 years and we know what metals are what.
We had around 75 lbs aluminium siding, 3 med size (all aluminum clean) radiators , a small bag of cans and a little bit of thick bare aluminium wire and a aluminum car hood, and more. We had

Make sure you pay strict attention to the first rate signage and plastic loudspeaker system, otherwise you may inadvertently go across the state of the art scale at this facility and end up costing the owner $700 or more. If something like this should happen, know that there is the potential for the owner of this establishment to launch into an overly aggressive, profanity laced tantrum, possibly escalating to the point of a physical confrontation. I just opened a business and I have a ton of questions. I am needing to know what they do and don't take... etc etc. The first guy was very short and rude and I said did you have some time now to help or call make... or call someone else? He said call someone else and hung up. So I called back wanting to talk to the manager and this guy that answered said how can I help. I proceeded to tell him about the call with the other gentleman and he clearly didn't care either and said ok well how can I help. Workers are very friendly and helpful. The price paid on insulated wire was misleading, I was told it was $1.20 a pound on the phone but when I arrived I was told that it was low grade and only 10 cents a pound. This was a little disappointing but since I was there I went ahead and recycled the insulated wire I had.

Been here 5 times each time more frustrated than the the last. Not only can you not see the scale weight when weighing your steel/Iron there payout is ALWAYS significantly less than tge current market. Done with this place after I called today to enquire on there current price if copper from elec. Motors and was told $1.45 which was $1.05 less than current market value. Bad business to steal from customers giving you there business. Or outright thievery if you ask my opinion.

I brought in 480 lbs of clean, extruded aluminum and got $96. .20 cents a pound. I was expecting .40 cents. Whenever I questioned the prices, dude told me that I got aluminum gutter prices and walked away. I took my next 2 loads to World Metals and they paid .40 cents. I still have 2 more loads to go too. Maybe 3. 21 won't get them, that's for damn sure. They were very friendly prior to ripping me off $100 tho. Might as well piss on my back and tell me it's raining. Don't go here.
