THE most friendly people run this otherwise kind of average-looking motel. The breakfast is homemade with fresh-cooked potatoes, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions & sausage and they have waffles, cereals & more. We stayed for two nights while exploring the area museums. Much better than more expensive motels on the coast. Loved it!

We had a pleasant stay Ponderosa Motel. It is an older facility but maintained well, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We had our dog with us and no problems there. The most amazing thing was their breakfast buffet. Hot dishes included scrambled eggs, sausage and very good biscuits and gravy. There was fresh fruit along with the usual cereals, bagels, and yogurt. We would gladly stay here again.

In June 2021, I stayed at the Ponderosa Motel, and did not have a good experience, the room was not the cleanest, the toilet was not fastened to the floor, the bath tub did not drain, and the shower head did not work properly. Due to the condition of the room my wife and I left the hotel a night earlier than we had originally planned. I left a very negative review, that in all fairness may have been a little over the top due to my frustration about the issues I had getting a refund for the night that I did not stay (mostly dealing with booking.com). It is now August 2021, my Uncle recently stayed
