20 years ago, I hopped on a plane with my Mom and Sister to fly away from all I had ever known to pursue the American Dream. They said in America, you can become whatever you want when you grow up. For many years, I focused on my education and on excelling in school - artistic creativity was never top of mind for me growing up.

There's so much to say about Yang as a photographer, but the first thing that I want to mention (other than you should definitely book him) is how much my wife and I enjoyed working with him for both our engagement and wedding shoots. His photography speaks for itself, but my wife and I genuinely appreciated working with him and his wife as we prepared for our wedding.

I received my wedding photos back today and I am in complete shock!!! These photos are so BEAUTIFUL!!! Yang was so wonderful to work with from beginning to end. He is super organized (which really helps when dealing with so many vendors), great at communicating, and flexible (we had to postpone our wedding date to the following year due to Covid). He didn't need any direction other than the wedding schedule and did his thing. Yang is the guy!!! He's way above and beyond. He has done tons of prep work for us - four weeks before our big day, Yang scheduled a Zoom call with us, trying to understanding our style, preference, etc, and he gave us a rundown of how the day would go. The photos are phenomenal and we love every single shot. We had booked with Yang months ago thinking we were going to do the wedding ceremony at the end of 2021, but then the second lockdown happened.
Even though our wedding date isn't set, we still wanted to move forward with an engagement session in the springtime.
It was a beautiful, sunny, but VERY chilly afternoon in SF. My hair didn't favor the wind either haha. Despite how chilly it was, we had SO MUCH FUN during the photoshoot.

We really enjoyed working with Yang-- he gave us a very fair price for our shortened wedding day shoot (ceremony only due to Covid), was really generous with his time when we had our initial meeting with him, and was overall incredibly professional and talented. We met Yang a long time ago when he was just starting out as a photographer. We've seen his photography profession grow and flourish since then, and so when it came time for our own engagement session, there was no question who we would choose to document such a special day. Yang directed us to the best spot for sunset photos, herded cats (my family) for family portraits and instructed us on timeline to ensure we had fun at the wedding and also got the photos we wanted.

Yang is a mutual friend to another photographer friend of mine. We were strangers before working together. I checked him out and his photo style is vibrant and not too overexposed or dark. All his samples were impressive. Throughout the process and just overall result of it all, he provided my husband and I the absolute best experience! Yang was pretty freaking amazing. My wife and I weren't totally sure about where to take maternity photos so he suggested a cute place. He's super-chill about everything but also not afraid to call out things we were doing that didn't make us look great.
He posed us, gave us context on what and how the things he suggested would work, then showed us comparisons of "regular" us vs Model Us. We saw the difference immediately, even on that tiny camera LCD preview screen.

We had a maternity session with Yang and we're so glad we found him! His work is impeccable!
He responded right away to my request for a quote. Luckily for us, he was available on such short notice. He made the transaction easy and was even thoughtful enough to provide some pointers on what to wear and why (it might be a good idea to wear a fitted dress to show off your baby bump in the photos).
On top of that, I am not too familiar with the south bay but told him I wanted outdoors and redwood trees. He suggested a great location that he's worked with before and was thorough enough

Yang's work is just gorgeous. He knows how to make you feel comfortable and teach you how to pose. The colors are so vibrant and too beautiful. For my wedding, Yang was the most helpful helping in taking group pictures, the cake, everything that I wanted. It was a hot day (98 degrees) but he was still hustling, dressed professionally (even tho I told him he can be in shorts haha), and still taking awesome pictures, candid moments.
I highly recommend Yang as I am more than satisfied with my whole wedding album and brides and grooms you won't regret taking him at all.
