Services
Renee H. Christensen has committed her career - more than 25 years - to helping injured and disabled individuals maximize the benefits and other compensation they recover. From her office in Sioux Falls, she represents clients throughout South Dakota in personal injury lawsuits, workers' compensation cases, nursing home neglect lawsuits and Social Security Disability claims.
A workplace injury can change an entire career. Even injuries that a worker can recover from completely and return to the job may require an extensive recovery period during which the employee may not be able to work at all. All of this makes workers' compensation benefits sound like a reliable safety net in the event of injury.
While it is true that many serious workplace injuries occur on construction sites and in other industrial settings, workers in any environment can suffer debilitating injuries. When they do, they may discover that their employer's insurance company is not completely cooperative with their workers' compensation claim.
Under South Dakota's workers' compensation laws, injured workers may be eligible to recover different types of benefits depending upon the extent of their injuries. In all cases, there is a seven-day waiting period before benefits can be paid. At Christensen Law Office, PC, we advocate for injured workers and ensure they obtain the benefits they qualify to receive.
Many of us look forward to retirement at age 65, but a sizable percentage of the working population must stop working sooner than that due to injuries that prevent them from performing their job duties. For some, it's a permanent end to work. Others are able to return work, if not in their previous occupation, at least to another field of employment.

I come to know Christensen Law Office due to an injury, and I am glad I did, from the moment speaking with Renee and all the ones in the office I knew I had made the right choice. I never once felt like I was just a number, on the contrary, any questions that I had were always answered, even during this trying time of Covid virus, emails were answered, phone calls returned. working with Renee and Legal Assistant Jessica gives a peace of mind that they actually care about you and helping you with the case. During the negotiating process is where I really seen the knowledge and drive that Renee has

Renee and her assistant Jessica are not only professional, responsive, and knowledgeable, but also compassionate and understanding. Jessica was quick to respond to any email/call I had no matter how little of an issue it was. Renee is very skilled and highly knowledgeable. When it came to represent me during my appeal hearing, she knew all of my details/conditions and limitations and presented my case extremely well and thorough. I got approved quickly and easily because of it. Even tho everything was done remotely because of Covid, dealing with them felt like it was in-person because of their

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
I was extremelly satisfied with their service. If I had a question or concern I was promptly helped. Renee Christensen is very professional and courteous but, when it is time to get in front of the other party, she knows exactly what needs to be done and how to do it.

Tom Johnson did a terrific job for us on my brother's "SSI disability claim. He was empathetic to my brother's situation and agreed to take his case even though he had already been denied once. He was very calm and thorough in explaining the process and timeline so we would know what to expect. Tom won the case, an outcome which will greatly impact my brother's life going forward through the monthly monetary benefit and medical coverage. Jessica was also of great assistance to us. Thank you Tom & Jessica!

So I am looking for a disability attorney in the Sioux Falls area and I read through their website before I chose to call. When I called the lady who answered their phone interrupted me when I was trying to tell her why I was calling. Then she asked how old the person was that I was helping. I replied my son is 18 and she said they only represent older people. Did not even hear anything about what makes him disabled. How can any company get away with profiling by age? Their website does not say anything about it being age based. They wouldn't even schedule an evaluation. I will take my business
