Glacier Quilts is an independently owned and operated fabric shop and sewing center located just north of Kalispell, Montana (40 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park). Since 1997, we've been providing the local sewing community with an extensive selection of designer fabrics (over 12,000 bolts!), quilting supplies, and sewing notions, along with qualified sales and service of Baby Lock and Elna sewing machines.

Last time I went (early Dec 2020) I felt as though I was nit trusted. I set off the alarm going in and immediately had my hand bag taken and scanned...still det off the alarm. Then the bag I had brought in with a quilt top to try and match colors was abruptly scanned, in which the lady stated they must not have done it right, though i told her I had made it and eas wanting to match colors to enlarge it.
Needless to say, I left without even looking at fabric and I plan to never go back.
They lady sermed very rude to me.

Overwhelming amount of fabric choices in every color imaginable. My brand new daughter-in-law bought a beautiful quilted throw in different tones of browns and a darling wall hanging with mountain goats. The ladies in the store were very nice. You must visit this store and take in the beauty of all the handmade quilts and projects.

Got dragged in here by my cousin and after a great 2 hours with the super helpful staff left with my first easy quilt project! Amazing supply of batiks (these are my cousin's favorite) and customer service was perfect. They were there when we had questions and helped us find things, but didn't hover while we shopped, awesome!!!! Well worth the visit.

I love this store! The selection and inventory is unrivaled. Unlike the previous negative review, I've always experienced excellent customer service, and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I too have a next generation quilter, and my 7-year old has been welcome to explore the store by herself and play in the kids area. I've been coming to this store since shortly after it opened and I can honestly say I wouldn't be quilting if it weren't for this place. I'm a fan!

This shop is great. I went there on a recommendation from a a Facebook site I belong to in spite of the previous negative review and glad I did. Kathy and staff are very helpful and friendly Shop has lots of well organized current fabrics and sale items. Nice selection of wools notions and accessories along with baby lock machines. Worth the ride from west glacier.lots of other shopping in the area too

Went in on a Saturday, 5 people working and the place was empty, had 2 girls with that were unwelcome to wander the store. They are experienced quilters at 11. Multiple times they were reprimanded for pulling fabrics for a quilt and looking at machines by the owner. Also being asked to leave the kids corner and told to stand quietly next to their mother. We were openly whispered about by the staff as I too was looking for fabric.
When approaching the owner about the situation she was defiant and unpleasant. Implying kids were not welcome.
