Dr. Cynthia Grundy is a board certified foot, ankle and rear foot reconstructive surgeon by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She provides comprehensive foot and ankle care for patients of all ages. Dr. Grundy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1996.

With a bunion, the joint at the base of your big toe gets larger and sticks out. The skin over it may be red and tender, and wearing any type of shoe may be painful. This joint flexes with every step you take, so the bigger your bunion gets, the more it hurts to walk. Bursitis (painful swelling) may set in.
Foot problems are a big risk. All people with diabetes should monitor their feet. If you don't, the consequences can be severe, including amputation. Advanced treatment options are available in the office setting to improve wound healing and prevent amputations. If a doctor has ever said you had an elevated blood sugar level - even just once when you were pregnant - you are at risk for diabetes.
Babies and toddlers appear to have flat feet when they are standing because their feet have fat pads. A slight arch may appear when the child sits or stands on tiptoes. Children are born this way; doctors refer to it as flexible flat foot. Usually, it's painless and doesn't interfere with a child's ability to walk or play sports.

Dr. Grundy was excellent! She saw me same day and helped ease my foot and ankle pain quickly! She was very knowledgeable and explained what she believed was going on and gave me a care plan to get me back to normal! Also wanted to mention her staff is awesome as well!
