R J Ranch RV Resort

We stayed here in December. Only one section open. This is a summer destination, but it was a good place to stay while visiting family in December. Quiet, flat sites, water (most have freeze proof connection), sewer and 30/50 amp. WiFi was ok. Bath house was clean and heated. My Verizon cell worked sometimes, not much reception.

My biggest complaint was since they allow people to come in for day use, the slides and pool were RIDICULOUSLY crowded. My son had to wait at least 30 mins to get a tube to ride the slide, absolutely NO chairs open in the pool area to sit and watch my 5 year old in the pool. We had to go back to the pool area after the day use people left, which was right before the slides closed and mind you it was almost dinner time!

We camped over the Labor Day weekend (Thur-Mon). We camped here when it was R & J Ranch many years ago. We were very surprised at how run down this place had gotten over the years. For the money you have to pay..btw..we are camping in two weeks at Pirateland Campground in Myrtle Beach for just $3 more, same number of nights! There has been no campground updates or repairs. Our concrete pad was sloped down hill with extra blocks of concrete underneath it to prop it up. There was a big hole where we parked our camper so we had to pull up on multiple blocks to get it leveled! Our picnic table had

We enjoyed our weekend here! It was quiet & the scenery was beautiful. We met many friendly people. We usually camp in more woodsy campgrounds, but wouldn't hesitate to come back again (in the off season for us). Great campground for families!!

Nice clean cabins; some pet friendly. However with no hot water at all. The arcade room was very toasty so I didn't want to play games. They have golf carts available for rent; also they have four paddle boats free to use. A stage for entertainment. Is a nice little get away spot.

So I stayed here a couple of years ago, everything was great. Our first night, this time, it was constant dogs barking, hooping and hollering going way past quiet hours. Tonight, 8/7/21, it has been constant screaming and carrying on for like 2 hours. I have young children, one 10 months old that needs to sleep, and we just wanted to have an enjoyable experience, but we can't. I doubt we'll be back. There is no need for this sort of nonsense to go on that long. I only gave 2 stars because of the first visit. That's being generous.

Loved this place. The girls working at the store were so nice and very helpful. Wish the restaurant would of been open a little later. But it was a nice place to camp.

Good family fun! Large game room, putt putt, big pool with areas for the whole family. From 2 ft too 5ft and large water slides! Slightly Unlevel but very shady spots in the woods to large flat pull through. They have it all!

Nice campground but infested with bees. No lights for putt putt at night and bath house/ restroom needs some work. Rules say no outside firewood or golf carts but noticed several sites with their own wood and personal carts. Rules were 1 tent per site noticed several tents in one spot. Could’ve saved some money. Also, during stay the shop closed early.. witnessed several children and adults getting stung by the pool, my husband was stung at our site

We sincerely enjoyed our stay here! We will definitely be back! Our kiddos had so much fun! The water park/slides was great. The arcade was fun! We definitely made awesome memories with our family!
Just a suggestion and I think you would like to know. The young teenagers that was working in the store when we checked in and the ones running the slides for our whole stay there was very rude and unprofessional.

I love this place!! I have been coming here with my grandma since I was 4 years old and still get excited when I come down here from Amelia, Va!! Such a fun family place!! Everyone I meet is never a stranger! The staff are so kind and helpful!!

First off the space we were given was on a horrible hill and was a back-in. We had a very difficult time even getting into our spot. Once hooked-up our power stopped working almost immediately. They came out to fix the issue but the other people we were staying with also had power issues the entire stay. On our second night I was going to the shower facilities to bathe but due to no lighting on the stairs area I fell and severely sprained my ankle. They have claimed that the area is properly lit by the word of their maintenance guy almost 2 weeks after the fact. I had to be carried out by some

Nice campground horrible customer service.had to work over memorial day went to cancel reservations said they had to be canceled 30 days in advance.i would understand harming 1 night but not the whole weekend the managers wife agreed with me but said it's a rule and they have to stand by it also the cable TV don't work we stayed here before the asst Mgr said they would fix it now the mgrs wife said it's been broke for a year

We found this place as a result of talking to the manager that had a booth at our local RV show. We love it! Exceptionally well run and managed! It has 3 water slides, pools, lakes, too many activities to list. We got a seasonal RV spot after our first visit. People are so nice and if you like bluegrass, this is the place to be!
