Always have to get a few traditional croissants for my grandson and an almond croissant for me. Another go to is the lemon donut for my mother-in-law. Can't go wrong with anything from old world breads. Staff is very pleasant.

This place is adorable and they have baked goods stacked sky high when you enter into the bakery. The staff is friendly and everything in the cases looked fresh and delicious. The prices are really affordable too. I always love finding nee bakeries when I travel.

We placed an order online 48 hours before we would be picking up. The process went smoothly and we picked up our order with no hassle. Our order included chocolate chip cookies, coconut macaroon, blueberry scone, seeded bread, cinnamon roll, lemon donut, apple cider donut and the gluten free shortbread blueberry bread. I can't

Love the breads, hummus and the breakfast sandwiches. The pies are delicious and they just added a full coffee bar. We had the iced mocha latte and it was great. Not that sweet at all and you get all the flavor.

Visit to this place used to be a highlight of my time in Lewes. Attached photo of muffins. Threw one of my 2 brownies in trash. It was weird and wet. Oh well.

What has happened to the croissants here? Did they change the recipe or the baker or what? Sometime over the summer, all the croissants changed from their wonderful flakey deliciousness into something on par with a supermarket bakery. The almond croissants, especially. They are now coated with this sugary glaze and all spongy. The savory ham and gruyère croissants are tough and chewy.

Most breads are still great, but something has definitely gone wrote in the pastry area.

The muffins looked great. We had 3 different muffins. We had blueberry, banana nut and a bread pudding muffin. The banana nut was the best. The other 2 were good but a little dry. The coffee was great and the employees were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back and try their breads and other foods.

One of our favorite local places. Should be on every vacationer's must-do list. Love that they have a vegan muffin. We love to grab some bread at their farmers market stands.

A friend suggested we stop at this small bakery to grab lunch and snacks before heading to Cape Henlopen on a recent Saturday afternoon --- and it was delicious!!

Located just off of Route 1 near Lewes, Old World Breads has plenty of parking, but they are also along the bike trail, so there were a lot of cyclists stopping for lunch and snacks as well.

They offer a vast selection of freshly baked breads and pastries, all of which looked delicious! BF ordered their roasted turkey BLT sandwich on their yummy multigrain bread, and I opted to try their vegan handpie stuffed with sweet potatoes and

My Mom has gone to this bakery for years for the most amazing cookies. Over Mother's Day, we tried the vegan hand pies stuffed with lentils and potatoes, and they were OUTSTANDING. The pastry was light and flaky and the interior was moist and densely flavorful. We are practicing vegans in the NYC area and have tried vegan food at some of the best restaurants in the world and these hand pies rate up there with the best! :)

I have been unsuccessful in finding a good source for Italian breads and rolls in this area, and I was hopeful in finding some here. The name Old World Breads also sounded attractive to me. When I stepped inside I found a wonderful array of baked goods, as well as a nice selection of refrigerated items. I bought some Italian rolls, a loaf of Italian bread, and a loaf of rye bread. So far we have tried the rolls and the rye bread, and put the Italian loaf in the freezer. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed in the rolls. A good Italian bread or rolls should be moist and thick on the inside

A great little spot. Delicious baked goods. Especially enjoyed the blueberry scone and apple galette. They had great looking breads, but they do not offer buttered rolls (us NYers like a buttered roll and coffee). No decaf coffee. Nonetheless, we'll be back. Might have to time it better next time to do a tasting at the distillery next door. Just of the main drag, route one. Hidden gem.

Went there for the first time today. The bread selection is great and I am sure it will be delicious. So why a one star review? One of the women behind the counter was extremely rude and shouldn't have any contact with customers. We went in to pick up an order that we had made and paid for yesterday. This woman asked our name and we told her.She apparently didn't hear it so she asked again and my wife pulled her mask out(not off) and repeated our name. This woman,in a very loud and nasty tone yelled at my wife "put your mask on".My wife told her that she was trying to comply with

I purchased 8 pot pies, a apple pie, and a loaf of raisin bread. The pot pies lack in flavor so does the apple pie. The apple pie crumbs have a dry box taste. Although the raisin bread had huge air pocket across the entire loaf, the cinnamon and raisin flavor came through. I don't mind spending my money on artesanal breads and such but this was not worth the money.

I just finished the last slice of apple pie from our Thanksgiving feast last week and, without exception, this is the best apple pie I have EVER had. The spicing on the apples is perfect, and the crust is delicious. This is truly a winning combination. Thank you, Old World Breads!

The multigrain bread was great & we tried a berry pie that was excellent. Everything looked great!! The only challenge is to make your selection with some quickness...only 3 customers at a time due to COVID. The staff is so helpful & pleasant. Try something, you won't be disappointed!!

Went the first time and they had yummy breads, pastries and dog treats. We were very excited to have found the place. We then went a second time , I believe on a Monday and completely different story. It was in the Fall time. Inside the cases and all over the baked goods were flies. They were also buzzing all over. It was pretty bad and very noticeable.

That second trip and the bad case of flies has kept us from since going back again.

I DEFINITELY appreciate the response from owner. The flies were IN THE CASE ON THE BREADS. Which is why we left. The first time we went this was not the case

Open the door and you will smell heaven on earth! Everything is made fresh. I will cut to the chase and just tell you everything we ordered:
Plain croissants, almond croissants, soft pretzels, baguette, sourdough loaf, frangipane cherry muffin . All was delicious! No regrets. Worth the carbs. Went there twice during our week long vacay in Rehoboth. Staff extra friendly. Love this place and I can't wait to go back!

I called first to ask if there was access for those who use walkers - yes was the answer from a kind man named Ben on the other side of the phone. I asked if there was a spot to sit and eat our lunch - yes!

The employees were are so friendly! The breads all looked great, as did the other foods: I ordered a pot pie and my dad had some sort of flatbread with tomato sauce on it. We also shared a soft pretzel with their special mustard and a cinnamon bun (we're gluttons when it comes to fine bread shops). We ate outside by the bike path. The entire experience was lovely except that they don

Brown, tan, white, sweet, robust, crusty, soft and decadent can be found here. The bakers toil and labor to create the most delicious creations. If you are hosting a dinner, party or event then just call ahead and they will accommodate you wishes. I purchased my first frangipane, a French almond delight! Why have I not discovered this amazing place? It’s tucked away next to the Nassau bridge. Yes, they have carrot cake!
