Quick Stop Bicycle
Established in the mid 1970's the QSBS is the areas longest running, oldest bike shop. Ownership has changed hands a few times over the years, but we are proud know our landlords, father and son team of Don and Greg Potvin and Kurt Miron started the bike shop all those years ago in a barn behind our current location.

Through out the shops many changes one thing has remained the same, our dedication to bicycle repair. We dedicate our selves to the highest quality repair possible, and as our name suggest in a timely manor. We pride ourselves on providing each of our customers with the highest level of customer service possible, always sharing our passion of cycling and passing on our years of cycling knowledge and industry experience.
Services
The Quick Stop Bike Shop has been around since the late 1970's making it the oldest bike shop in the cycling-rich community of Marquette, Michigan. There have been many changes over the years, but what has always remained the same is our dedication to our customers. We pride ourselves on our reputation of being knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, our attention to detail when it comes to your bike and all of your cycling needs.
Think Malibu floral print shirt with a blonde Jerry curl leaning against an '80s' Mustang (v6), smell Parliaments, hear a half Jersey half Canadian accent. This was the alter ego of the QSBS boys when an awesome trick or tip was discovered/used while working on bikes, motos, cars, etc. And, no its not a tip every day, TR's bag is not quite that deep.
Noquemanon (No-Kay-Man-On) Trail Network, commonly referred to as Noque (No-Key). This is Marquette's premiere non-motorized, year round trail network. The biking trails are divided in two distinct zone, North and South. Several distinguished parking lots accompany each zone as well as many ride-from-town access points.
This mixed surface, multi-use path is a 47 mile, 100% car free route connecting the south side of Marquette to the little town of Republic. The route pays homage to the Iron Ore industry that has been in existence well over a century. A cool detail to look for along the way is the mile markers and interpretive signage frames constructed out of the original rail line.
An old service garage transformed into Marquette's evening dance-your-butt-off venue/brewery. During the day this is a great kid friendly brewery with plenty of space and games for the kids to hang out and play. At night, bring on the music and dancing. If you need to loosen up those hips, come here and get your dance on.

Every time I've come in, I've been meet with nothing but the best effort to get me the best option for what I need. They have never tried to up sell me or offer me something they didn't think was useful. The products they sell hold up amazingly and the service and people are some of the best bike mechanics I've ever had. I highly recommend them for their quality across the board and their personable customer service.

Quick Stop is the place that treats EVERY customer the same. Not special treatment for only their bros, everyone gets great service and competitive prices. The bike industry needs more shops like Quick Stop.

Went in with multiple issues and got them all resolved same day. The techs there are knowledgeable and were great at listening and explaining what they worked on.
The labor price was great, but the off the shelf costs for products are mostly non discounted full MSRP. I bought some quality lights from them anyway to support a local business and for doing a great job tending to my bike.

On my first ride while vacationing in the UP last week, my free hub failed. Total bummer. I tried several other repair shops, but they all turned me away without even looking at my bike—too busy, no parts. I was so grateful when Nevin at Quick Stop said: “Bring it in. Let’s see what we can do!” He repaired my broken free hub (and serviced my brakes) in less than an hour—patiently fielding questions from my 9 year old son as he worked—saving me from what would otherwise have been a disastrous UP vacation week with no working bike. I was super impressed with the speed and quality and

My husband and I bought a couple of mountain bikes from them last summer. Great service, professional, very knowledgeable. I had problems with my derailer, seat dropper, and leaking from my rear suspension so we brought it to our local shop. They encouraged us to replace the derailer with a better version ($300) but not top of the line. I had only ridden it probably 3x since and it still had issues shifting. The local shop also said I'd have to buy a new seat dropper which I didn't get.
I brought my bike back to Quick Stop while in town and they just put air in the seat dropper and gave

Everything about this business was spot on. We had an issue with our tandem right before a race and even though the shop was starting to get busy, the staff took the time to figure out our issue and get us back on the trails in no time. Nice, knowledgeable, forgiving and very reasonable pricing. The only flaw I saw was the way the TP was on the roll, but that's pretty nominal.

My husband and I were interested in buying e-bikes. We walked into Quick Stop Bicycle and were impressed with their friendly, knowledgeable salespeople, it was such a welcoming atmosphere. We always try to buy local first and we were so glad we chose Quick Stop. Matt was incredibly helpful and even delivered our bike after they prepped it. Waiting on our second bike to come in, wouldn't think to go anyplace else in the meantime. We're sure that anything we need in the future will be handled in a professional manner. Especially happy that they were masked and abiding by all of the COVID

A great place to bring your bike! I bought a used bike for my daughter and brought it here for a tune up. I was greeted enthusiastically at the door by the staff, and was able to leave my bike there for service, even though they weren't able to get to it for about a week. They ran a very efficient system and notified me when the bike was ready to pick up. There was a hiccup with the tune up, which they fixed immediately and with no additional cost. I would have no hesitations about recommending this place to friends and family.

After a tree branch had its way with my rear derailer, wheel, and chain, I walked in here with a mountain bike I thought I might have to abandon in the UP, and walked out $20 later back on the road. I've never written a positive yelp review before, but felt karmically obligated to because these guys were so awesome. They knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the repair, so instead of replacing parts that would've been easy for them to replace, they were able to salvage almost all of my components and get me back out there quickly and cheaply. They clearly love riding, love
