Each shirt purchased provides one insecticide-treated mosquito net and medical care for the people in rural communities of Africa. Each net can protect up to four children for three years. Our women's safari packing list gives you a good guideline for a 10-14 day safari in southern and eastern Africa (excluding a Kilimanjaro hike).

We chose Ker & Downey to help plan our honeymoon in Chile and never looked back! Several of our most recent independent sojourns have been planned by Ker and Downey. In working with the travel planning staff, I have found them to encourage the client to share ideas about the types of activities enjoyed and attractions of interest as well as providing a suggested itinerary to see “the best” of the country or region. These suggested itineraries are completely customizable. The staff is efficient and will work around your wishes as well as budgets.
The choices of hotels have been varied providing stays

Trust the Best!
After a year long Covid delay our much anticipated African safari to Zambia and South Africa finally happened in June 2021. Every detail of traveling during Covid was handled for us from arranging for the numerous Covid tests required between the countries we were flying to handling the international and regional flights which also meant rebooking us several times amid cancellations as airlines struggled to realign flights. My daughter and I had the good fortune of taking a 2-week trip to Egypt booked through Ker & Downey October 2021. We had the most extraordinary experience, in large part due to the superb service we received from our Ker & Downey designer prior to our departure, and from their ground operator, South Sinai Travel, once we arrived.

Extremely disappointed. In June we booked a 2022 tour in Tunisia. In July the Tunisian government was overthrown in a coup, resulting in nationwide chaos and rioting. The U.S. State Department issued a “Do Not Travel” warning for all Americans. We asked Ker & Downey to rebook us on one of their other Mediterranean tours. They flatly refused. And, to add insult to injury, they kept our $1,392.50 deposit. Maybe the fine print allows them to do that, but we’re senior citizens on a fixed budget and don’t think it’s right at all.

For anyone traveling to Africa, I would highly recommend Ker & Downey. Our trip to Zambia and South Africa was incredible! The team at Ker & Downey was amazing! They customized our trip for our budget and what we wanted to do/see. They took care of every single detail. They were very easy to work with, answering all the questions we had, and jumping on zoom calls when we needed to. They checked in with us during our vacation to make sure everything was going well. Because of all the extra complexities of traveling during COVID-19, I contacted Ker & Downey to help me out. Instead of me having to research what countries and services were available, they handled it all and handled it well.
I ended up going to Thailand because it was just about the only thing open in Asia. Dealing with the Phuket Sandbox scheme to enter the country was challenging. Indeed, it was so complex that I wouldn't have even attempted it alone. Ker & Downey helped me through the entire experience.
In Thailand, I dealt both with Ker and Downey and their "in country" agent Smiling Albino

We recently went on safari in Tanzania. Our travel planner went to Ker & Downey to organize the two week journey with multiple stops and plane rides. Ker & Downey, specifically Jamie Bell, organized this trip in a most excellent fashion. From the time we got off the international flight in Arusha until we got on the return international flight in Dar es Salaam our ground handlers and guides had our trip organized and handled everything in a most efficient and friendly manner. Well done!
