The "Flood" in our name refers to the family name. Our building was originally constructed to house the general store of J.A. Flood. Unfortunately, he died shortly after construction was completed in 1932. His son, C.A. Flood, took over the business in the latter part of 1932 and operated the store until the summer of 1963.

This is one of those places that's virtually impossible to drive by without stopping in. I had the privilege of meeting the proprietor Mr. Francis D. Flood, not only is he one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, his eye for the things of the past is beyond reproach. It's likely you'll find Mr. Flood here when you stop in and there's a good chance you'll also meet his cat while wandering through the many treasures displayed in the main shop as well as the old house next door. By now you've realized the "Flood" in the shop name refers to the family
